This place is our go-to for Indian food - take out and dine in. The food is always great quality with generous portions and reasonably priced. Not to mention, we love supporting a local business owner. The last time we picked up our order, a homeless person walked in asking for food. Immediately, the owner filled up a container for food for them no questions asked. They’re a pillar of pride and good food in Ballard.

I just ordered take out for the first time and I was completely disappointed! I ordered a dish that should have had lots of good chunks of potatoes and there were none! It doesn't seem as though they put their heart into the making of their dishes! Total Bummer!

1-shout out to them for being open on Christmas2-Lunch special is great value for the money

SO good. Blown away by the portion size, quality, and taste. Staff was very kind as well.

Finally checked this place out! Really friendly service. All three of us loved our food. The Aloo Chole was fantastic. Some of the most flavorful Indian food we've found in the city. Can't wait to go back.

I've never left a 1 star review, but I'll never oder from here again, I ordered through Postmate at 5:45pm, postman said pickup at 6:34pm rush hour i get it.I made may way down to the restaurant, when the app said it was read, on a rainy day! There was no one helping people pick their orders at the entrance. finally approached the staff, she was very rude and told me I'd take another 20 minutes, 1 hour for pickup! If you can process ordes don't take them. At the end there was multiple people waiting 20+ minutes for orders marked as ready--------UPDATE: the food is pretty good so I can't give a 1 start but they gotta work on their customer service

There was an actual maggot in my chicken tikka masala last night. I am disturbed on so many levels. I never leave bad reviews... but that is beyond disgusting.

In a rush, I accidentally placed an order online to this location (meant for India Bistro on Roosevelt). As soon as I realized my mistake I called to tell them I was on my way. It was shortly after 8 but their phones were already off. When I arrived there was still people dining but two of their staff were masking non-compliant with it down below their noses and their hand sanitizer empty. Not a fantastic first impression. They handed me my bag of food. When I asked about my chai they informed me they had none. They reimbursed with me cash. I was about to leave when someone came out and told me they were also out of kheer. He was a little argumentative saying they don't even serve it anymore because too much was wasted. He directly stated I should have called to find out the details of my order and I had to remind him that online order platforms shouldnt also mandate a call and I had tried to call (twice). He looked at his phones and found them off. Unamused but reimbursed for both I left. When I got home I found they had also not included my pakoras. I called back knowing it was a long shot anyone would answer but they did. He again began to argue with me now declaring I hadn't ordered pakoras. I offered to send him a copy of the receipt when he back stepped and said he believed me. He requested I drive back to Ballard to pick up cash for reimbursement but I refused and demanded the credit be applied back to my card. Whether it was is yet to be determined. Trying to brush off the so far negative experience I figured maybe the food I did receive would be good. Nope. The garlic naan was fine - standard nothing notable. The paneer tikka masala was completely lacking in flavor. It tasted as if a they added a couple spices to a can of tomato sauce and dumped a couple pieces of cheese in it. In addition to bad service and violations of COVID mandates, it was an absolutely pathetic excuse for a meal and a disgrace to the wonderful flavors of Indian cuisine. The only reason it got 2 stars was there was any food included and it was at least warm. The India Bistro on Roosevelt is consistently excellent in quality and service and I can't recommend them enough, if I hadn't made my own stupid mistake I would have undoubtedly had a great dinner.

I've tried eating here twice, the first time was kind of acceptable and the most recent time which was last week, I ordered the Shrimp Curry and the vegetables had frost bite. They were clearly from the freezer and tasted so gross .. just.. never again.

The flavors of their food are always amazing. Portion sizes are very good especially in comparison to other restaurants in the area. I really appreciate that they welcomed me to sit down while I was a little early for my pickup order. Very kind and welcoming. Again thanks for a great dinner
