One of the nice place in Seattle I have been here long time ago and I decided to come back. Service of cause not like western restaurants but I will say it’s good than average Chinese restaurants.Price are soooo cheap, 9 items only 55$! No way!Food are good too, it taste slightly above average so I will not complainTepan black pepper beef, shrimp dumplings are absolutely horrible.
We got the curry beef brisket, bitter melon and black bean sauce, beef fried rice, and the crispy shrimp and chives dumpling. Our favorite was definitely the crispy shrimp and chives dumpling. It blew us out of the park with its crispy wrapper and generous amounts of flavorful shrimp and chives. The service we got was great and friendly and I love that they have call buttons for ordering/paying/water
I'm honestly disappointed, my wife ordered shrimp lo mein and what we got was plain noodles and shrimp ontop. For a place that serves hong kong food id expect their to be some wok aroma, their was absolutely no seasoning on these noodles maybe not even salt.just rinsed noodle. The bbq pork buns were good, and I got curry beef brisket beef that was passable. I'm disappointed honestly. Maybe their better dine in but don't order to go. Check the last name, I'm Cantonese, I know authentic dishes.
Everything is good accept for their pineapple bun with butter and the curry fish ball. We ordered three pineapple bun but we were disappointed on it, can't really tell whats wrong with it but just doesnt taste good. The curry fish ball sauce was like a paste then sauce, its too thick. The baked taro bun we don't really like it. Beef chow fun, wonton noodle soup, shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings and the baked golden custard bun are really good.
HK Bistro is one of our favorite dim sum places in the I-District (the other being Harbor City). Every dish at HK Bistro was delicious, especially the superb Peking Duck with buns. The sesame balls are also terrific. Service was excellent. Parking on the street.
I've never been disappointed here. Sometimes wowed, but not often. A step up from my other usual spot in both quality and price. I often cheap out for the cheaper price so this is more of a splurge for me.A worth I splurge for myself and probably many others. The decor here makes all the difference for sure. The Food is better but not so much better. 4 star food. The szechuan broth is the thing that really tells me. It's just average with a lot of ground peppercorn flavor. traditional tingle, but low spice and flavor. I like it. Not my favorite, but up there. I'll be back.Oh, the fried shrimp rolls. Those might be the best I've ever had. Wish it came with more of that orange sauce. Still amazing. My body was craving something and this place delivered.I recommend this place for fewest szechuan food as well as for date nights. I'll be back like I said earlier.
This place has consistently been rated as one of the best dim sum restaurants in the ID, and it deserves that claim. The dishes are true to their authentic nature; the shu mai is sizeably large, the tripe is soft and well marinated, the chicken feet is meat off the bone tender. Our personal favorite was the chives dumplings, with the perfect amount of crispiness at the edges. It gets deservedly busy here around lunchtime, so come early to avoid the wait.
Regular at this restaurant when we are up in international district to shop. Amazing Hong Kong style food, it comes in really handy when I feeling home sick! Most of the staff there also speak Cantonese which is also great! Highly recommend the Beef stir fried noodle, always order that when I am there, taste just like how it is in Hong Kong. the Dim sum there is great for the price also, try the Golden custard bun compare to the normal plain custard bun, you won't regard it. 10/10 Highly recommended!
Dined in about 545 pm on Saturday night. Good timing so I suggest going for dinner about 530 pm because after we were seated, the dinner crowd followed and the place filled up. Didn't like our seating. We were right next, I mean RIGHT NEXT to the register where the phone rings and cashier's put in orders. I could easily answer the phone or open the drawer (not the cash register drawer lol) to grab ourself extra napkins lol but I didn't, I just saw it when we asked for some. Got our cup of water and menu quickly. These servers are fast so if you need something like a straw, more napkins ask as soon as you can cuz they are speedy Gonzales lol. For dim sum we ordered (fried)chives and shrimp dumpling and a (steamed) shrimp dumpling. Main dishes, beef chow fun, roast pork, & Mongolian beef. Everything was plated nicely, tasted great and was a generous amount. My favorite dish is always beef chow fun and theirs hit the spot along with the roast pork, nice crunchy skin! Also had a hong Kong milk tea. My guy liked everything so we would definitely eat here again. I missed taking a pic of my chow fun :(
Loved this place so much went not once but twice and paid for my son's dinner w/ his fiance. Plentiful, flavorful, locally loved Chinese food. Open til 3 am on fridays/saturdays too. I'll come back again and again. Reasonably priced as well with prompt and attentive service
