I am a self taught home baker who initially made cakes to supplement our income while living in Belgium. Today, I am a mad-baker dishing out monstrosities of cakes from my kitchen in Mount Vernon, Washington. I don't have a business account or space for overhead, therefore I rely on cake supply stores around the country. My favorite and my life-saver, on more than one occasion, has been Home Cake Decorating Supply. The well stocked inventory and AMAZING customer service, in addition to the knowledgeable know how's from Dave, helps calm any mad-baker panic attacks. There are tons of unique and one of a kind items, from sugar decorations to sprinkles to sparkler candles, that you will NOT find at any big box store. Plus all the cake board sizes and thicknesses that you will ever need and like every frosting tip ever. I wish I had found this place sooner. What a great find.Oh! And the man working/staff are phenomenal and so nice.
What a wonderful discovery in the Maple Leaf neighborhood! If you are a professional, occasional, or newbie baker/chocolatier, this friendly local store will likely have all or some of your ingredient, accessories and equipment needs.I felt giddy as soon as I stepped in and gave the shop floor a quick glance. I had cake decorating ideas racing through my head!The prices are fair and at par (sometimes lower) with Amazon. I bought a cookie cutter and a cake slicer - would have gotten more if I didn't practice self-restraint =/Love, love the shop! Parking is limited - you may have to park on the street. Came here by bus (Metro #67) which was so convenient as the stops were just a few steps away.Happy baking!
Delightful staff who were able to help with a last minute (48 hours) request for edible printed cake topper. High quality product and great prices! SO glad we found our new cake supply store!!
This is one of my happy places. Anything you need or want for baking, chocolate, etc. is most likely here. Owner is incredibly kind and helpful, as well as being knowledgeable about product and stock.
