Really delicious food made fresh to order and arrived at our table in less than 10 minutes. We ordered the calamari steak sandwich and the steakhouse burger with a Beyond Meat patty and both were absolutely incredible. The calamari was thick, tender, moist, and perfectly fried. The steakhouse burger was stacked! (See picture.) The blue cheese that they used was a strong, high quality cheese. It was so good!The service was friendly, efficient, and quick. For those that drink, they offer a large variety of beers and ciders. And for those that don't drink alcohol, they actually have non-alcoholic beers. It's not listed on the menu so ask the server what NA beer is available if you are interested.We can't wait to go back.
I've been searching for the French dip of my dreams and I think I've found it in the Ballard Beef Dip. High quality ingredients, a solid tap list and friendly staff rounded out the experience.
A friend brought me while we were in town for work. His previous experience sounded pretty hard to live up to. Wrong. Our experience was equally as solid. Food was great. We had the special - salmon tacos. Wasn't sure about it but glad I tried them they were amazing. Along with the calamari appetizer and steamed clams. *A note for out of towners and non regulars. They close at a hard 9PM. Other than that. Everything is perfect! I plan on going back when I'm in Seattle next.
Amazing food, great service during the meal. There was an issue with the final check but they were prompt to review and fix. If you love seafood this is a must visit. I had the tiger prawns which were recommended by the staff and oyster shooters. Will definitely return.
Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had. Most fish just have their tasteless beer battered fish, but these guys SEASON it. It's almost a taco-like seasoning but it actually works great on fish. Usually the fries with any fish and chips are just there, but these fries also had the same seasoning. This place is right next to Chinooks (which is more popular) but Highliner is cheaper and better and it is a must try. (The tartar sauce and ranch is amazing)
I visited the Highliner a few nights ago and had wonderful seafood. Fish and chips-fantastic! Oyster shooters-terrific! Great wait staff and reasonable prices. It was a nice surprise. I'll be back soon.

Good food. Service was fine. We wound up here because Chinooks is not open for lunch on Tuesdays. I always feel like this is a place that caters to regulars and tolerates new customers. Everyone was polite, but not very warm or friendly.
When I walked to the bathroom (15 feet) without my mask, the extremely rude waiter said “don’t come back again “. I accept! Been coming here for 25 years, friends with the current owner. Bye Bye. I’ll never bring a group here again. ?
