This place is very busy on the weekend, so expect to wait. They have a variety of drinks, but no decaf options. It probably took 25 mins between waiting in line and placing our order before our coffee was ready. It was strong and tasted different than most other coffee shops, but personally I don’t think it was worth waiting 25 mins for.
The first time I visited this space I remember just wanting to put my phone down and read everything on the walls. Read about the history of Vietnam and Little Saigon, read about the work of the artists’ on the walls and the details in their curated menu. And then just soak it all in the atmosphere they created. Now I go there as a respite from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind as well as for their delicious banh mi, (shoutout to the super nice workers who always let me customize the sandwich a bit.)I highly recommend visiting this cafe at a slow time of the day so you can sit down and enjoy the experience they’re offering.
If you're new to viet coffee this is a great place to start. They use a robusta bean for their coffee (traditional for viet coffee if I remember correctly), so the caffeine content will be HIGH.The creme brulee coffee was very good. I'd suggest trying the topping then mixing it with the rest of the coffee. We also got the first thing on the menu (forgetting the name) and was a bit disappointed that it was mostly foam and ice. Not much liquid. That's the only reason I dock one star. The atmosphere is really something. Lots of Vietnamese music, fresh beans being roasted for you to see and a lot of open, airy seating. The shop is not in the best community in town. I'm from SF and it's pretty comparable in terms of homelessness. However, I'd not let that stop you from coming. Just make sure not to leave any valuables in your car.
Hello 'em coffee shop. We came here to check it out since we saw its interview on tv. We were curious about what they presented during the interview was a very interesting coffee with add-ons . The place is cute with of course Vietnamese decorations. A small coffee roaster where you can view the entire process standing in one corner of the coffee shop. You can watch it while you are waiting for your order or you can find a seat if there's one available. Inside is a yellowish couch for seating although it's kind of dirty & nasty so we never sat there. All the way to the back of the coffee shop is a little table with free books in Vietnamese language for those who are interested in learning their language or just trying to read Vietnamese. Red ? lanterns, a bike, framed pictures & some bamboo lighting's adorn the place with about 10 seating areas of 2 to 4 persons. The place is an old spot that is repurposed into a coffee shop. Parking is limited in the front but there are parking across the street. Everything is pricey. I ordered the one that I saw on TV during the interview but to my disappointment it's like 90% emice cubes and in two sips, it's done. I did not see anything like what they showed on TV. Some cool things that they have are straws made of rice, cups and lids and red stopper that they use to prevent coffee from spilling. Service is ok. We find it not so different from any coffee shops. Bought a 10z coffee that cost $20.00. ?. Three 12 oz coffee, a bag of coffee beans & 16 oz lemonade = $47. Crazy huh!
Was looking for some banh mi and coffee for breakfast, and this spot was on point! The staff was awesome and friendly, and the ambience was very trendy for a banh mi place. We had the Nem Nuong banh mi and the pate banh mi. Both were very delicious! I like that they press it on the panini press to make the bread nice and toasty. We also had the ca phe trung and ca phe may, both were good and had the bruelee foam on top. Recommend mixing it all in to get the flavors throughout the coffee.Would recommend.
Very nice place with delicious coffee. The people are nice as well. This place gives a very chill vibe. Would definitely recommend going to to study with friends or just to lounge.
Awesome coffee shop with unique and delicious Vietnamese coffees and small bites. My favorite is their drinks with the egg foam; amazing on top of the quality espresso. Craving a snack? Get the pork floss egg bread.
The food is good and the coffee, definitely I will come back next time I’m in Seattle
Fantastic coffee with a large airy space filled with Art from local Asian-American artists. Coffee was great; and the various egg foam toppings were superb and definitely worth trying. The pressed breakfast banh mi was super tasty as well!
Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Seattle, although it is a little small and gets busy! The coffee with coconut cream and toasted coconut is just soooo good, I dream about it. I’ve had it with and without the egg cloud and the egg cloud is super delicious. They also have taken care to include lots of information about the Little Saigon district of Seattle, and feature art from local Vietnamese artists. I’ve learned from it and it’s always awesome to see a business engaged with the surrounding community.
