This is Ezells but owned by the original owners of Ezells. You make the best fried chicken in Seattle hands down. So many good memories eating your food with my friends. Just wish the Renton location was still open. I hope you the best in the future my friend.
Normally I love coming to heaven sent because it’s the originals Ezelles I grew up on but this time I’m very unhappy.I ordered large spicy chicken strips and and I got these? These are the exact same as small strips which cost less than the large. I love heaven sent but the food was not up to par …. The greens had no meat and weren’t even cooked all the way.. and I’m honestly upset with the prices. I understand a pandemic with supply and demand at all time high things are getting more expensive but this? I ordered two large chicken strips, greens potato salad, mac and cheese, and two cans of soda and the total was 75 dollars. That’s a little extreme to me just for some soul food. The price of soul food here in Seattle just because it’s soul food is literally ridiculous. But imma still eat heaven sent im a huge supporter all day I love their food just not a fan of today.
The place was dirty, the food was bad, (old chicken and cold sides), and it's REALLY expensive for chicken. Ezells or Popeyes is a MUCH better choice
I stopped coming here because the chicken is never crispy and tastes and looks like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. Is a shame.
For a good chicken meal with plump, juicy fried chicken along with great sides, you can’t beat Heaven Sent. Note that there is no seating for dining in at this location. My takeout order was ready quickly. I had the 2 piece original white meat meal with potato salad. The chicken was good, but no seasoning on it, so I would recommend ordering the spicy. The menu board hanging above front counter does not have the meal specials on it, so be sure and grab a yellow menu card by the register to view all options.
Best chicken spot in seattle period. They use to be in Renton. Lake city and Everett is the only two locations. Ezell is a seattle must. If u havent tried heaven sent. What are u doin? Way better than Ezells chain
Best chicken on the planet! The spicy gizzards are my favorite?
Delicious if not slightly expensive chicken. The rolls are where it's at.I kinda wish they didn't have religious stuff on their employee shirts but it's whatever it's not pushed down your throat and more power too em for having something to believe in.I know I believe in their chicken being delicious. So that's a thing.
I stumbled on "Heaven Sent" while clicking around Google maps looking for a place to eat. What a find! My partner was feeling so homesick for good soul food, and there's a bit of a deficit of that in the Pacific Northwest. I immediately told him about it, and we got it the next day.It was a blast of nostalgia for him! I had mac n' cheese, collard greens, potato salad, mashed potatoes, fried chicken and Peach Cobbler. All of them hit it out of the park for me and I wish we had ordered more! The chicken was well-fried, tasty and juicy. My partner who grew up with soul food said it was the best peach cobbler he has ever had. It was a blast of nostalgia for him, and I'm glad we found a soul food joint nearby. After eating, I immediately went around blabbing to all of my friends about Heaven Sent. I was embarrassed to realize I was literally the only that didn't know what Heaven Sent was before ... One of my friends go to meet Ezell himself in their old Renton and he was the nicest guy. I'm a bit jealous and wish I got to meet Ezell myself!
Great service. They were super nice. The chicken was not that tasty. The breading was not that flavorful.
