Great service and food. The presentation was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly. Would definitely come again!
The food itself was good, but the rolls were a bit pricey in comparison to other restaurants of similar quality, especially considering the size of their rolls. What ruined the experience was the awful smell coming from outside. When it’s a hot and sunny day, at least consider putting the windows down so customers aren’t inhaling the smell of hot street garbage while they’re trying to enjoy their meal. The entire restaurant smelled like the hot garbage out on the streets. It may not have affected employees as much as customers given that they’re wearing their masks while they work. Aside from the smell, the experience was okay.
Loved this place. Sushi was delicious, the wait staff was very kind and helpful, and the drinks were good too. The ambiance was very nice too! Very chill and intimate, perfect for a date night. Overall a wonderful experience, will definitely come back here again when we're in the area!
What’s up with the bottled water? No glasses? Tubs of utensils that you see right when you enter the door? Off color music? Soy sauce packets only?Look, I’m no sushi expert, but I know good presentation when I see it. This is not that. But the food was pretty good. Tasted like sushi. What more can you ask more.
Super delicious sushi. The dine in experience was a little strange when we were brought a champagne bottle but no one opened it for us. Otherwise I had a great meal and good saké. I had the Hot Lava roll. Delish. My friends had the Salmon Lover Roll, Cali Roll sad Chicken Teriyaki. They loved theirs as well. We finished it off with delish mochi ice cream (Green Tea, Mango and Strawberry).
Foods mid, service is mid and portion size is sub par. The mid food in this case does not justify the above. Food took awhile too. Try at your own risk. Employees apologized for the long wait due to “lack of dishes/ utensils” but they had piles in the hallway. Toilet seat paper falling off the wall with graffiti made this place seem run down while they charge a lot of money.
It’s a solid sushi place and good to have in rotation. Not sure it’s worth more than their happy hour prices, but that’s just my opinion.Inside dining was just ok. Everything was cold, the gyoza, the air temp, and while cooked even the pork skewers.
Sashimi, miso soup and ikura we're are delicious. Great customer service
I love the creative and extensive menu Gokan offers. Their fish is fresh and yummy, and I've always experienced great service. They also have a large cocktail and sake list, and private rooms with Japanese style seating. While some of their dishes can be a little pricey, it's not abnormal for a good quality sushi restaurant. I've also never had an issue making a same day reservation - even for a large party of 6+ people! You won't be disappointed if you choose to eat y Gokan :)
Food is good, but overpriced. Service is slow and bad. Spilled my pricey cocktail as they were setting it on table, I asked them to make me a new one since it was half gone- they took it away and brought same one back a few minutes later. Still half gone and no longer ice cold. Seattle has better options.
