Simply Epic. A friend recommended as their favorite and now it's ours. Huge flavor and plenty of protein makes them great.
Good quality for the cheaper price. Don’t expect Michelin quality but above average quality fish. Long lines so I would suggest to pick up beforehand. Order the chirashi bowl and take to gasworks park afterwards for a great day!
Generously portioned and reasonably priced.Fish was fresh and tasty. The perfect meal to take out to eat at a park on a nice day. People who love Chirashi bowls have to come here!
I am a regular patron of Fremont Bowl. Even though they have been slowly hiking up their prices (the price for the chiraishi has grown $2 since the beginning of the pandemic), I still go there once every two weeks. However, recently it has become obvious that they are slacking on quality. The portion sizes on the fish have steadily gotten smaller each time, and I have tried to overlook it. My last order was the last straw. The chiraishi is described as a medley of, "tuna, chopped fatty tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, shrimp, eel, masago." And at its peak, it truly was; go marvel at other users' photos. But my last order contained mostly salmon, with a few sad pieces of discolored tuna. (I ate the eel before I took the photo, oops.) I was sad to see my favorite yellowtail nowhere to be found.I would've been understanding if the restaurant notified me that they were not able to use the usual ingredients. They have plenty of other delicious dishes. For instance, their teriyaki chicken is underrated IMO. Instead, they chose to skimp on quality and take my money. It is incredibly disappointing that I have to write this review given how much I enjoyed them in the past. I think it is only fair that I share this experience so that other customers know that the once great Fremont Bowl may no longer meet their expectations.
We lived in the Upper Fremont neighbourhood for three years and frequented Fremont Bowl on at least a monthly cycle. I have tried almost everything on the menu - and it’s all excellent. My personal go-to dishes were the salmon bowl, teriyaki chicken rice bowl, and the mixed katsu bowl. Great for eating in (can be quite busy, though tables turn reasonably quickly) and take out (which we did a bunch during COVID). Enjoy!
It currently takes out only, due to the COVID. However, the food is very decent. Sashimi is fresh enough and it's not expensive at all!
Changed my rating from 4star to 5star. This became my favorite togo place during pandemic. The order process is easy and always on time to pick up food!
One of the best Poke bowl I have ever tried. The portion is big with fresh varieties of sashimi.
