While the service was good, the food was not so good. It wasn’t all bad, the potato croquette and sauce were pretty good! The salads and miso soup were good, too. The veggies table tempura was oily, but good. Unfortunately, I’m stuck on the fried cod, which was hard and chewy. It was a main in our bento, so that was especially disappointing. Nothing was great, but something was bad. The environment and atmosphere could also use some improvement. Overall, it was alright but I don’t think I’ll return!

This place is located on the second floor above the Pink Gorilla Used Games shop. You have to go inside a building to find it!Taste: I’ve been to Fort St. George four times now, and each time I’ve had a different meal. Curry udon, katsu don, bento meal, and meat & garlic mayo spaghetti. The taste can best be described as “hearty and homey”. Everything I’ve had has been true comfort food, and each item is quite delicious. I always leave full and content!Price: They did recently raise their prices a few dollars, but with ingredients becoming more expensive, you can’t blame them. I’d say a basic meal will probably cost you $17-19 plus tax and tip now.Amount: Their food portions are pretty large, so the increase in price seemed fair. I always leave very full!Atmosphere: Okay, this is one of the reasons I absolutely LOVE this place! The restaurant is on the second floor of a little building. There’s nothing at all special about the location, but for some reason this place feels so homey and comfortable. It’s a very relaxing place, and great for a chill dinner.Menu Choices: Another way that this place really stands out - they have a ton of choices. Bento boxes with fish, donburi, curry, spaghetti, delicious melon soda floats! There are a lot of different choices on their menu!Service: Always great!Overall: If you want somewhere with lots of options, tasty Japanese food, and an incredibly relaxed atmosphere- this is the place!

Discovered this Japanese comfort food gem thanks to Google Maps restaurant search, as neither the restaurant name nor external signage gives any indication as to what awaits visitors. The second story restaurant has views of the park next door and is super casual with grunge rock playing on the sound system and Adult Swim on the TV during our visit. I was surprised and happy to find that Japanese comfort food is very similar to the food Mom cooked growing up in a tiny town in Mississippi. Everything was delicious, the wine pours were generous and the staff were friendly. Will definitely be going back to try more menu items.

I would love to rate them higher especially because they have been there for so long. But TBH food was rather disappointing.

The best katsu curry I've had, by far. Service was fast and drinks came out quickly. The waitress gave great suggestions too! Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Hidden upstairs of an inconspicuous, tiny plaza, St. George combines a bar, an izakaya, and a casual Japanese family restaurant, with all of their benefits. Reasonably priced shareables and customizable Japanese comfort food, along with a few more eccentric options make this a mainstay for a good after work happy hour. Definitely check their specials for bargains and limited availability dishes and don't be afraid to experiment with their drinks.

LOVED this spot! The food is Japanese diner/comfort food and was delicious. We got the omurice and the beef curry. The service was extremely fun/friendly and the vibe in this place is excellent. They were playing techno, bowie, old 70s punk records and the place looks kinda like a nightclub. Had a nice comfortable chatter level but not too noisey.

Great little dive - popped in with a buddy after dinner at Momosan (wonderful, by the way). Bartender was quite funny, drinks arrived quickly (and kept coming). Not a huge selection, but if you're here for some sake, shochu, or a beer, and don't want to pay an arm and a leg, you'll have a good time.Extremely casual environment; feels a little like an industry bar. Had a great time!

Horrible staff. I had a beer at the bar and forgot I left my cash at my apartment a block away. I let them know I would be right back with the cash and I was sorry. The waiter just said “ you know just forget about it, just don’t ever come back here”, so I left sent and grabbed my cash tried to pay my $3 bill that I couldn’t cover. the waiter just shooing me away. I insisted on paying what I owed and out a $20 by the till and left. Asked him to tip the cooks, there food was great!

must try!! the food & drinks (both non-alc & alc) are amazing~ i’m especially a fan of the garlic mayo spaghetti, zaru soba, beef curry, and bacon & mushroom doria, to name a few. the location & interior is cute and cozy, there’s a small bar inside as well. always a wonderful experience
