A hidden gem in the Rainier Valley area that was often overlooked because it's at the corner. Foods are fresh and cooked in Hongkongnese style. We ordered the fish maw soup, stir fried lotus roots, and X.O. clams. This was our second dine in. In our first visit, we got the steamed fresh fish, and it was delicious. The servers are always friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back to try out other dishes as well.
Good dimsum, but we really caught them at a bad time as they were having technical difficulties with their gas line and were not able to make many items normally found on a dimsum menu. Several items were cold as a result. FOH staff are courteous and friendly and the prices are decent. Will have to return later to give a proper review.
We stopped in for a late lunch, early dinner and the restaurant was pretty empty, they asked if we were vaxxed and then seated us.It's been a long time since I've eaten Chinese that wasn't Szechuan style, and Foo Lam did not disappoint, though I will say that the items marked as spicy on the menu weren't really spicy, and while that would usually be a disappointment, it was flavorful enough to make up for it and meant my 3 year old could have some and since my parents were with us, it was also nice that spicy wasn't really spicy since my step mom has a rather bland palate preference. Plus they had chili oil on the table so we could spice it up as needed. The prices were really reasonable too and plenty of food to go around. 4 adults and 1 toddler, we ordered 3 meat entrees (Mongolian beef, general Tso's chicken, and honey walnut shrimp), house fried rice, sizzling rice soup, and egg rolls. We will definitely be back to try more dishes since they were really tasty and affordable. We stuck to pretty standard fare given my stepmom's picky and very American food preferences and I'm excited to try thier other stuff.
came here for dinner after eccc, and it did not disappoint. spicy seafood hot pot, garlic green beans, congee, and potstickers were all amazing. we also got dessert, but I’m not positive what it was. a steamed bun with custard inside: THE STAR OF THE WHOLE DAMN MEAL
I was a skeptic coming to this restaurant but i’m so glad i did. Everything from the appetizers to the desert bun made me a believer that this is one of the best restaurants in Seattle.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I will travel over an hour for Dim Sum; Foo Lam is always worth the ferry ride.
Great cart dim sum service, not busy, and really good. Not everything was hot but that's always a chance you take with dim sum! I will definitely go back!
This is a very good restaurant with a very good service attitude. The waiters are professional. There are many kinds of restaurants to choose from. Family gatherings are highly recommended.????????
