Had a quick stop at this place . They have good varieties of Mediterranean Food . They also have other beverages / beer etc. few tables outside to sit and eat . Service was quick . Had felafel and it tasted good .. also ordered baklava and it was awesome .. was expensive though. Being in city , we expect it to be expensive.. parking is tough . Overall a good experience… ???????
No receipt and $2.85 for a coke, then $17.95 for 3 or 4 small pieces of falafel, rice and lettuce. $4.95 more for some pitta bread to eat it with. For $43.75 for 2, where my wife got a sandwich/roll thingy. Aren't you there for fresh seafood, free water refills and and service? Not good value in a fresh fish environment. Doesn't help while he stairs at you while you enter the tip, then no receipt.....
Stopped here because of the aroma. Had the beef shawarma. It was greatly enjoyed by my wife and I. If you’re in the area get some Middle Eastern cuisine and have a relaxing time people watching from the sidewalk sitting.
Though they were out of some menu options, this 100% halal Falafel shop did not disappoint in the end. I enjoyed the falafel salad - a generous bed of iceberg lettuce with sautéed onions and several falafel patties. The falafel was very flavorful and perfectly moist. Hummus was included on the side. The affordable addition of some pita bread made a satisfying lunch.Beverage options include a variety of bottled drinks as well as fountain juices. The baklava looked delicious, but I’ll have to try it next time. The only complaint was that printed receipts were not available and you should remember to check for utensils if you’re taking it to-go.Seating is limited to two small tables on the sidewalk and a few barstools inside this very small space.
I'm currently sitting here eating a beef Shawarma plate, and I had to write this review, this food is so good, I had to order two plates to take with me. If you're hungry do your taste buds a favor and stop so a delicious filling plate. I'll definitely come by again the next time I'm seattle.
Food was tasty and quick to arrive when we ate in. The entire place was cramped inside and, as everybody else had mentioned, run by one person which made the quick food surprising. We ordered beef shawarmas, two, and the portions were generous, and to put simply: huge! The beef didn't taste like beef, but it was tasty for the first few bites. I got a bit of a headache after eating the food but the flavorful first few bites were worth it.
Flavor was ok, spicy, which I like, but pita was hard and falafels burnt. After eating most of the food, I bit into a plastic bread tie inside my sandwich. My husband got a gyro sandwich he thought his was ok, but he isn’t a fan of the spice. Picture of the bread tag in my food attached.
The food was amazing. So much flavor packed into a succulent package. Best street food I’ve had in years. It’s a hole in the wall and you have to leave to change your mind. Don’t worry though, you won’t to.
Falafel is always a sure bet and Falafel King is close to the Public Market. A quick, tasty and inexpensive lunch with a few sidewalk tables to eat right there.
Ended up in this area past dinner time, and this place smelled amazing so we went in and ordered food to go. We ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a lamb shish kabob plate. I didn't notice that there wasn't a big spinning gyro cone to cut meat off of, and the cook actually cooked our order on the grill. Maybe they couldn't do it with fewer tourists visiting during the pandemic? Anyway it was totally fine, just not what I expected. The portion was MASSIVE. We had 2 meals each out of these plates and they were large meals. Definitely hit the spot for some flavorful meat and overall hearty meal!
