Love the name and love dumplings. Just happened to be walking by looking for a place to have lunch while on vacation in West Seattle. We love finding new places and Dumplings of Fury did not disappoint. It's a small dine in restaurant with a limited menu but there are plenty of choices for all lovers of Asian food. We ordered the shrimp and pork wontons which came in a bowl with a mildly spicy sauce. We also had the sauteed pork pot stickers. We started with 2 dishes knowing we could order more. Both dishes were outstanding. The portions were large and we were unfortunately stuffed and unable to order more. Not a problem, just gives us a reason to go back soon. We have our own rating system and the highest rating is memorable and this was. The woman at the counter, Cassia, was welcoming and we really enjoyed our conversation. So happy we found this and can't wait to return.
Tried two types of dumplings, mushroom and meat, five people sharing. Not well cooked, inferior taste. We didn't eat all of our orders and took home no leftovers. Worst dumplings we've had in Seattle. Much much better in the I District. Service was pleasant and efficient.
I'm not sure if I went on the wrong day or not... Anyway I had a dumpling from the case to the left at the register and while the texture of the dumpling itself was good, the interior was not good at all. It was like a mushy, super salty reddish colored maybe BBQ flavor? Not sure, too salty... The other dish I ordered was also way too salty. The service was fantastic and the price was pretty high, but that seems to be expected these days. Still, I didn't finish the food and after a few days in the fridge I just decided to throw it out. I'm not trying to be too negative here because I really like this place and I want them to succeed!
We ordered 6 different dishes and not one of them was worth the price. The rice used in the fried rice was over cooked and not an Asian style rice. The Spicy Green Beans were overcooked and soggy and not spicy. They also tasted weird, almost like they were spoiled. The mushroom dumplings were greasy and were raw inside. The spicy garlic wings weren’t horrible but I’ve had better at the dive bar down the street. Hot and sour soup? Cold and flavorless with only two wontons. Order Dumplings of Fury if you want to throw your food directly in garbage.
If you like spicy start with Shrimp and Pork Wonton. Why not try a Singapore Sling too.
My partner and I have been coming to this place for a few years now, and unfortunately I don't think it is worth the money anymore. Tonight the fried chicken was really tough and hard to chew. The BBQ humbao filling tasted off and it felt like there was too much filling even. The other two dumpling dishes (one was a mushroom dumpling and the other was a shrimp dumpling) were not good. With costs going up I am re-evaluating where I spend my money, and I am sad to say I don't think we'll back any time soon.
Nice place to eat in West Seattle if you are desperate for dumplings. Definitely not the most authentic or tasty, but the prices are reasonable for what you get. The dumplings taste good and the staff is friendly. Food was ready fast. The indoor seating is good after the renovation, and there are a couple of small outdoor tables as well. The bao and the spicy wontons were both good, the noodles less so.
This would be 5 stars but it's happened enough times that I walk there when they say they are open or I call multiple times for a pickup order and they don't pick up the phone. Excellent food and happy they are busy enough to make their own hours but please update your Google listing for your open times!
Good vegan options :) and my boyfriend said his dumplings were 5/5 best he’s ever had!
Tidy dining space. Fast service. Generous portions. An order of dumplings and a noodle dish comfortably feeds two people. Not mind-blowing, but worth repeat visits.
