Great place to go if you want authentic Peruvian food! Everything had great flavor, and the outdoor seating was nice.We ordered Canchita and fried plantains to start. The canchita was really good! We all wish we had ordered more than 1.Then for our mains, we had arroz con mariscos, pollo saltado, and aji de gallina. We couldn't decide if the pollo saltado or aji de gallina was our favorite, they both had wonderful flavor profiles. Portions are big enough for one person, but we decided to share so we could try a bit of each.We also ordered pisco drinks. We all have had pisco before and thought the drinks were really well made. If you are new to pisco, I would recommend a pisco sour or the pisco lagoon.Overall, it was a great experience. The service was excellent, and our food was delicious.
First time to try Peruvian food, also ordered a cake. Food is nice, i prefer below one. Cake is too sweet, but good to try
Awful. Waited over 1.5 hours and no food ever arrived at our table, the waiters didn’t even check on our food order until we told them we were leaving.
The food was okay, the inside where we sat just felt a bit run down, service was very slow, small area to park, overall I was just kind of eh. Came here because it was recommended, the food and drinks were okay but expensive for what it was. Okay to try once.
Love the Pisco’s drinks , all of them!!! Great food , ? % recommended!!! Very friendly staff and the owner makes your experience exceptional: for instance : he comes to the tables ,checking how’s everything , if you need something else , etc …. Again ? % recommended.
My meal was as creamy as it looks. ?
Me and my partner always drive by this place, and we always thought it looked great. Well today we came by with a friend and we were all very impressed by the food and the wonderful atmosphere. We sat inside but the outdoor seating was very well lit and looked super cozy. The pesto noodles with beef were amazing - the sauce was so creamy and herby, and the beef was chunky and flavorful. The wings were also super crispy and great with pickled red onions. Next time would try their ceviche, desserts and a drink :)
I tried out their arroz con marisco, fried plantains, and steak pasta and it was okay. When the bills came out, it was around seventy dollars for those items and I think it was way too expensive for what it was in my opinions. It’s Way over priced.
The food is authentically delicious and what it makes it so amazing is having a live Peruvian group playing and singing all types of Peruvian music. The group “Ayer y Hoy” makes everyone so happy in the restaurant
Update: Recently had two good experiences at Don Lucho’s. The fries were back to their incredible crispiness and all our sandwiches were filled evenly. And of course those caramel cookie sandwiches they have are always, always ridiculously good. This was one of our favorite places. We’d go there at least weekly. As their popularity has increased the quality of food has decreased. For our most recent order fries were soggy (which is a huge shame cause their fries were the greatest with just the right crispiness every time) and the meat In the chicharrón sandwich wasn’t chopped up and spread out as it used to be. We got three big hunks of meat with spots with almost no meat which doesn’t make for a very good sandwich. Please please bring the attention to detail back and bring back the old great quality.
