Wait was about 20 minutes for a table on a Monday night around 6 pm. Once seated, order was placed (as we viewed menu items while waiting). Timing of appetizer and dumplings/rice/noodles came spaced perfectly apart. Very attentive and friendly staff. Everything we ordered was super delicious and flavorful - the cucumber salad and spicy shrimp & pork wontons were everyone’s favorite. Highly recommend.

I ate at Din Tai Fung in June 2022 in the University Village! We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday night, and it was definitely busy! We added our name to the list and browsed the nearby shops until we received a text about 30 minutes later; they have a really great system for accommodating and managing the rush. Once seated, we ordered a number of different dishes, including the Xiao Long Bao (very delicious, highly recommend), the vegetable buns (the iconic dough lived up to its reputation), spicy wontons (yum), and sticky rice. The meal was perfect for 4 people and ultimately was about $15 per person with tip! I definitely recommend splitting dishes with the table so you can try multiple things! Our waiter was kind and attentive. I definitely recommend Din Tai Fung for a great, well-priced meal!!

Delicious food with many vegan options. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced. The dumplings were amazing! Worth the wait!

My daughter and I came here for lunch. The food was amazing. We shared several dishes and we will for sure come back! They did not disappoint!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It is just delicious and the service is great. Try everything.? Food is amazing, names may sound new to you but they have pictures on their online menu which is helpful to see what you want.I recommend the following:- Kurobuta pork Xiao Long Bao- crab & Kurobuta pork Xiao Long Bao- any flavor dumpling... they are all good- shrimp and korobuta pork spicy wontons is my favorite dish (it's a little spicy)- fried rice or fried noodles (they have many options)- desserts are also delicious my favorite ones are the chocolate, taro and red bean Xiao Long bao, the buns are good too.As for drinks I love the milk tea selection with boba or the lychee Frapp with boba? Service is great, you have the paper menu where you write down your order and they bring everything as it's ready? you need a reservation made on advance or you might not even get a table.... it's that good? Bathrooms are located inside?️ they do have parking and you can park on the same floor as the restaurant

I have been a fan of Din Tai Fung since they opened their location in Bellevue. I'm excited I finally got to dine in at their University Village location. Dishes here always have great flavor. My guilty pleasure is their kurobata pork fried rice, but the best things on the menu have to be the pork XLB (soup dumplings) and the chicken wontons with spicy sauce. What I really recommend, though, is ordering the noodles with spicy sauce to take home after your meal, and eating them cold the next day. All of the food is really good, and I could rave about everything I've ever eaten. There are some things to note- one is that the portion sizes are kind of small for the price, so eating more than a few items gets expensive quickly. Also, at this location getting into the restaurant itself is confusing. We were put on a wait list to check in, but were not told how to check in (at the stand inside). We also waited a while for our dessert, but it was really tasty. I definitely recommend dining here if you can afford to.

The pork xiao long baos are a must-have and a classic from chinese restaurants like these (similarly at Dough Zone). We also had the shrimp & pork dumpling, as well as the sauteed string bean, which I highly recommend. We were well served and the food was delicious! The only true downside to this place is the price. We spent around 25 to 30 dollars per person, and while the food was good, it didn't quite feel up to the price. Probably not a place to go to regularly, but great for special days or on occasion! We were also not able to book a reservation so we had to get in queue, which was around a 30 minute wait on a Friday night (7pm), which was not terrible at all.

A great restaurant for authentic Taiwanese Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling) and fried rice.As a Taiwanese, I could say the taste of fried rice, soup dumplings and dishes are authentic.I would recommend the original xiao long bao/ soup dumplings (小籠包) the best, and also maybe the shrimp & kurobuta spicy wonton (紅油抄手).Pork chops fried rice is pretty good as well!As for soups, I would just skip them though. One thing I never tried in Taiwan is the chocolate & mochi xiao long bao as dessert, and it is a bit too sweet for me though.I would just go for taro or red bean, which are more traditional ?Lastly one thing weird is we ordered drinks upon arrival and asked them to come first, and even asked twice while having the meal, but we did not get it even when we finish the meal. There’s even one cup missing, an we were told to wait for an extra 10 mins for a cup of boba.Quite surprising though as it just a drink and took >1.5 hrs to be prepared Also might want to check if you get expected number of pieces for wonton or dumplings for your dish, our dish has pieces missing and they would count them one by one in the served dish and give you the missing “piece” afterwards ?Although there was some unhappy experiences within the meal, the overall service is still ok and the food is awesome.Still a recommended Taiwanese restaurant, but I would recommend to make a reservation first to avoid the lines!

I couldn’t decide between the chicken noodle soup or shrimp fried rice, so I got both ?And I wanted some greens, so got an order of mustard greens. The greens, and many other dishes are meant to be shared (family style). The fried rice was too salty for me.The soup broth was perfect because I could add the vinegar, hot pepper sauce, and soy sauce without it becoming too salty. However there was a vegetable in the soup that tasted canned, so put that aside. The greens were good too.(Taking some home in a box) ??

Every one said you have to go here. It was good - fast, friendly service. Food was tasty, especially liked the fried rice and sweet and sour spare ribs. Their soup filled dumplings were okay, nothing special as everyone says. Like the title says, had to try it. Don't need to come back as there are so many restaurants to try.
