Great venue for live music, including an open mic on Wednesdays. Good vibe and one of the best house drum kits in Seattle for open mics.
This place is Rad for live shows. Saw Sun Crow the sound was killer. Drinks are hot and affordable. Great service with the expected pub attitude!!
Good vibe and a fun place. If there is live music, I would recommend bringing ear plugs because it can get quite loud
My first time here and I liked it , it's my kind of screaming, let loose ,dance place ,but was unhappy to find that the band I came to see had cancelled .The band "Jodie Watts "was real good and I'll go see them again sometime.
I went for the first time to the Squirrel rehab sanctuary fundraiser and I had a great time. It's a dive and nothing fancy and the vibe was very relaxed. They have an outdoor area as well which was nice for us smokers. Got to see my friend's band Piston Ready as a surprise. It's a chill spot.
First time here and I love the place... Great, out-of-the-way, dive bar feel. Hope it stays that way and doesn't become overrun by hipsters, bro-grammers and woo-girls. They do music most nights of the week except Tuesdays (Trivia Night)... Music is eclectic - Rock, Punk, Country, Jazz. They are known for their Sunday Jazz Jam. I was there for an Opera on Tap event and it was a great spot for it. Great acoustics. great open space, great outdoor area, great parking... Full bar (they have Maritime Jolly Roger Christmas Ale on tap!). Only pre-made pizza, popcorn and chips for food... But I'd come for the music.

We had a great time at Darrel's. The service and patrons were friendly. It is a dive bar, so don't expect anything fancy. It also helps if you like velvet paintings and Elvis...
It's not really a dive, not exactly a music club, not so much an old man bar, not especially a younger crowd, not trendy, not passé, not outdated, and not updated.
Came in with no expectations and was never greeted nor talked to in this short visit. Was interested in seeing what the place had to offer hoping to find a diamond in the rough. But was just rough. Wasn't served so not much to report.
