Terrible. Cupcakes were inedible and when I jokingly asked about birthday discounts (it was genuinely my birthday) we got a snide and frankly rude reply they don't give discounts. Wasted more than $9 for two cupcakes that except for 2 bites out of each went straight into the bin. Go elsewhere, even boxed cake mixes make better cupcakes.
I have been a customer multiple times and there is a single nice employee. You are better off walking a block down the road to get gelato and the bakery in Pike Place market will be a better for baked goods. Will not be back back to cupcake royal, to many rude employees.
Be kind to yourself; stop getting cupcakes from the grocery store. I've never had a bad bite or a bad service experience at Cupcake Royale. Everything is glorious. Shop local. You'll be glad you did.
I really like this cupcake spot and definitely head there for a treat during a rough day. The cupcakes are yummy and quite big! And with a good cupcake to frosting ratio. I wish they had fruit flavors more often (begging for a raspberry or strawberry with compote!) but always grateful this is in my neighborhood.
Best. Cupcake. Of. My. Life!!!!!!!!!!!!Lavender infused vanilla cake with lavender buttercream frosting. The cake was the PERFECT texture, perfect moistness, perfect crumble, perfect subtle use of lavender. The buttercream frosting was the smoothest, most flavorful buttercream I have ever had. It was also really well balanced. Sweet, for sure, but not cloyingly so. The combination of the buttercream and the cake was just absolute heaven in a bite.
I LOVE Cupcake Royale. They have perfect cupcakes and I totally dig their seasonal flavors. I have been buying cupcakes from them since 2006. I hired them to do my wedding cupcakes and they were a huge hit! Everyone had two, even people who normally would never eat more than one. So glad we ordered extra (thank you for the tasting!)! The best cupcakes I have ever had. The frosting to cake ratio is spot on. They are sweet, but not super sweet. I drive an hour to Seattle just to go to Big Mario's ? and Cupcake Royale. What are you waiting for? Go get a Cupcake, you'll thank me later!
I swng by and picked up two to go, for late night deser in our hotel room. The lavendar one was my fav.
Truly excellent. Wide variety of very well made cupcakes and delicious espresso. You're denying yourself if you don't try their pumpkin latte!
The people here were super nice, loved the ambiance! With our orders, it was a 50/50. Seemed more having to do with taste and not so much quality though. Bumble gum ice cream and tiramisu cupcake were “just alright” but still eaten entirely so not horrible. The red velvet and the coconut were delicious and devoured. ?
