As a French person, this bakery feels very legit. The (pistachio) croissant and pain au chocolat were delicious. Cream puff with vanilla whipped cream was great (although a bit too sweet). Kouign-amann was very close to the real deal, was a bit disappointed they weren't making the black sesame version anymore. Everything gets sold super quickly so be sure to be there early.
Super flaky and super buttery croissants. 10/10
I used to love Crumble & Flake. It was one of the places I was most excited about when I returned to Seattle. The weekend pistachio croissant was a ritual of mine.Ownership changed a few years ago, they seem like very nice people. I was hoping the taste of the classics didn't change much. They kept some of the old menu items and expanded the menu. Everything is average at best but the old pastries are bad. I've made multiple visits to give them the benefit of doubt. I'm finally done, my heart sinks. They ruined a near perfect Bakery.I hope they sell it back to the previous owner.
Super nice owners! I'm not a huge fan of the cream puffs (both original and espresso flavor) but my boyfriend really loves them! Took one star off because the latte tasted a little weak.
Cute tiny shop. Unfortunately, they were almost completely sold out when I got there around noon. I was able to try one kouign Amann, it was ok. I was not impressed :( I will come back to give it a second try.
We tried this a few treats for the first time while our daughter was visiting from out of town. Wow! Theses are very good and worth a quick visit if you're in the area. We got several items (sorry about not knowing the name of each treat) and everything was so good.
Tobi is a master chef with all the various flavors we crave! She’s the best!!!
I eat a lot of kouign amanns. I'd say this one is slightly above average. But the reason I gave this place 5 stars is the espresso cream puff--it's the best cream puff I've ever had. The cream was amazingly light and flavorful. Will have to try the vanilla cream next time.
Made it on my final day of Seattle and this place was a gem. Their mascarpone creampuffs are a must have. Great people as well!
the employee working was very rude tipped himself on my card, did not tell me the total or show me the screen and gave me the wrong scone. neither me or my friend were able to eat the scone we were given because it was so gross, very disappointing.
