I love this place especially if you want a solo date. Staff are nice food is great the only bad part is they close random days. I’ve came here twice already with my father and my significant other at different day they said were open on the website but we’re closed when we got there. It can be disappointing when that happens Especially when you try to bring more clientele. I wanted to go yesterday but it said it was temporary closed and it still says that on their website. Other then that their staff and chefs are so sweet, Their OJ is the best OJ I’ve ever had and their shrimp panini is so delicious.

It’s a real shame that someone crashed a car into their front doors (as of 6/5 the doors are boarded up) because this restaurant is always pleasant. It has a cozy kind of diner vibe, especially righty when you walk in. The breakfast food is good yet there is one menu item I think is unfortunately lacking—the clam chowder.Maybe it was just the batch made that day but it was less of a chowder and more of a watery soup. Does this experience make me dislike the restaurant? No. Other food I’ve had is exactly what you’d hope, the drinks are tasty, and service good.Let’s hope those doors are fixed quickly and future people crash into something else!

We just went back after years of not going. We always liked coming over from Bellevue to have good quality food. After not visiting for those years (for various reasons, none of which were the restaurant itself) things are still pretty much the same! Good food, nice staff and a buzzing restaurant. It won't be so long between visits, that's for sure.

Poor management. Slow service due to kitchen ALWAYS being understaffed. If you’re looking to wait over and hour for food this is the place!

New management is homophobic, I hope your business fails. Like it has previously. Honestly after working there, don’t really recommend anyone eats there.

This company has laid off targeted employees with no clear explanation. They did not pay for the time that they were closed and have no intention of paying for the work missed out by faults completely out of the employees hands. Do not eat here. They do not look into their employees best interest and I doubt they will fund unemployment. #BoycottCoastalKitchen Not to mention when COVID happened they fired every employee as to not pay for their unemployment.

This is a fun spot for breakfast on 15th. The prices are high but the quality of the dishes match. There's a lot of seating so there was no wait to get in. I really enjoyed their seasonal cocktails and specials and our servers were very attentive and helpful in answering questions.

Going downhill. This local gem is having trouble coming up for air in 2022. Used to bring out of town friends here for luxe dinner service and superior brunches, but now — I can’t order a basic chicken caesar and cocktails without notable problems. Way over cooked protein, sticky, glazed bar top. Five people behind the bar for conversation but no concern for the customer experience. I get the challenges from the pandemic, but it’s time to get back to basics or start over. Save your money for a different place until Coastal gets it together.

I now tried to eat to costal kitchen and only made to a table once.I am told 1 1/2 wait or no one comes to sit you. They claim wait hour is 1hour and half which when you look around first floor there is 3 tables empty and side bar is completely open with chairs with no one sitting around . to me it does not add up. So, You can walk 1 block to smith's(as busy, higher rating & on the same street) and you are sited right away, served in minutes..

I was not prepared for how intensely delicious the food is here at costal kitchen. Went to enjoy breakfast / brunch, and had a wonderful time.Restaurant environment is very nice, the staff were welcoming and friendly, the quality of the food is beyond good, and the food was moderately priced for what you get.Definitely worth checking out if you're on Capitol Hill with hunger pangs.
