I want to like this place and become a regular. The coffee is good. But, I often have to wait 20-30 minutes for a basic latte. Last Sunday, it was literally 27 minutes to get my coffee. After going here many many times over the last year, that will probably be my last. A lot of people standing around has also been waiting 20+ mins. They either need more people, more machines, or to stop taking app orders when things get crazy.
Cloud City has a good selection of breakfast items and great sandwiches, plus the expected wide variety of coffee drinks. There is outdoor seating only (as of mid-March), and COVID policies are clear (social distancing; waiting outside for your order; plenty of hand sanitizer available). Looking forward to sampling more of their selections when we're back in Seattle.
Great coffee and nice breakfast, but it seems like they don’t have great priorities for the people that order at the actual cafe. We (there was 3 of us) waited in line for about 5-10 minutes, not bad considering it’s a Saturday. Then waited another 25-30 minutes for 3 drinks, we didn’t even order food. The entire time we were outside they were calling out 5-6 mobile orders per the ones that ordered there and there was about 10-15 people waiting outside who ordered inside. I’ve been there before and have similar issues but figured it could be an off day for them. If you do go I would recommend ordering beforehand and biting the extra costs.
great coffee! got a bagel sandwich and it didn’t disappoint either. will be back
Fantastic roasts at a cute little neighborhood coffee shop. Fair drink prices and friendly staff. Only outdoor seating and takeout for the moment unfortunately, but they have their great single-origins for sale so you can have the good stuff at home too.
Cloud City Coffee is where it's at! Possibly the best lattes in town and the breakfast sandwiches are the best way to start the day! Maple leaf for life! ?
Great coffee spot. So glad it's on my way to work! Everyone who works there is super nice and they have great food choice, including some vegan pastries, which is so appreciated.
I think this is a good neighborhood coffee joint and i will continue to patronize. The service is friendly. Coffee is fine. Food items are delicious.Recommend using their app ahead of time if in a hurry though- it doesnt seem as though in-cafe orders are prioritized over app orders. I've had this experience many times not using the app whether they're busy or not. If this changes I'll increase my rating
I haven't actually been to the physical location but ordered an item from their online store. The package arrived timely and in perfect condition. The item color was the wrong color though from what I chose online, and Jill (owner) responded super quick and was very nice and made it 100% right. Whenever I get a quick response and real effort to make something right, I will always give that business more of my money. Cloud City is now one of those places.
Something's off with all the 5 star reviews and our group's experience.Positives:- I liked the freshly made cinnamon rollNegaties:- Weak coffee, milky latte with terrible milk texture. How can a barista send this out when they're charging money for the beverage?- Another person in the group that ordered a latte was also unhappy with his (same complaint)- A third person hated a pastry they ordered (donut I believe).- The dine-in is actually a dine-out, and there's only paper cups for the coffee.
