Usually have a good experience at chocolati but on Sunday we waited at the outdoor window for about half an hour (with no one in the line in front of us) before the barista finally acknowledged us. She was making drinks for the people inside but didn’t even say hi or “I’ll be with you in a minute” to let us know that we would have to wait that long. Also, when we went to sit inside to enjoy a view of the lake one of the main windows is now covered up with a sign for mobile app deliveries so you can’t even see the view! Also, the cafe smelled like the bathroom… bathroom door was open and clearly needs some freshener since it’s right near the ordering counter!! The coffee was good and so is the chocolate as always but the customer service was lacking and so was the atmosphere.
The sweet gal that worked there was very helpful. We got excellent customer service which included a sample of the Dark Vader special flavor of dark chocolate and raspberry. It was amazing! I ordered a mocha with the recommended flavor and it was the best espresso I've ever had. Reminiscent of Jaques Tores in Brooklyn NY!! Fantastic!! I will return and bring family and friends whenever possible! ❤️
I would highly highly recommend this place. They did not had the Cortado on the menu but they were able to make me the Cortado. It was so yummy and flavorful. The dark chocolate hazelnut truffle is also yummy and delicious. I tasted the latte and it was good. I also tried the mocha and it was flavorful. This place really deserves 10 stars rather than five stars, but they do not have 10 stars. Definitely recommend!!!!
Such a perfect place to stop for their Europa hot chocolate and truffles while walking around Greenlake trail! Also, they offer puppicino!
One of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had! It’s very rich without being overly sweet
Haven't tried the chocolate yet but the coffee is superb. It's the best in the area and their mochas are particularly good since they use their own chocolate as flavoring. Their WC mochas and caramel lattes are also excellent. Swing by when you can!
Review of only the truffles.I was trying this place after having chocolate man up in lake forest park.Maybe that place has set to high of expectations. But the truffles are just sad. Every single one practically tastes the same. For instance when I bite into a raspberry one from chocolate man there is a very strong raspberry flavor and it's almost a juice like experience even though it's not a runny chocolate. The flavor explodes and your palate dances with the flavors. But here when I bite into the raspberry one it's just dark chocolate and not even a good truffle to start with. The same goes with every flavor. It's just the same truffle with tiny sprinkle of the "flavor" more like "lack of flavor" and its just disappointing.Again, maybe my standards are just set way to high from the other chocolate store but in comparison I have to rate It a 1 out of 5.
Great small shop! We always get our coffee to go! They have dog treats and they are really friendly and kind! The only downside is that sometimes they serve the coffee extremely hot. But, it’s great to keep your hands warm in winter!
Our most fav hot chocolate place in Seattle. We usually walk along the lake after getting the Europa dark drinking chocolate. It's super rich and creamy. Best part is that they're vegan so you can add your own choice of milk. I've tried they mochas and some chocolate truffles too. So so good.
Great Hot chocolate - wasn't feeling so good but this literally turned my evening around! The best I've had in Seattle not too sweet which is generally the case elsewhere. You have an option of choosing from different types of chocolate (they also have a 72% europa version). The raspberry truffles are awesome too!
