Chiang's did not disappoint, and I look forward to another visit!Pictured: 1) Homemade noodles, ground pork & diced dried bean curd w/ bean paste sauce 炸酱面 2) Dry sautéed string bean w/pork 干煸四季豆 3) Pan-fried rice cake Shanghai-style上海炒年糕Favorite was easily the rice cake since it is such a comfort food (if you like chowfun, get this); it had a light soy sauce flavor and not too oily; would definitely come back for this dish in particular. The zhajiangmian was an amazing stand-alone dish. The green beans were not spicy but still tasty. Price was reasonable since the portions were generous...excited for leftovers later. Also, the lunch menu is a bargain for the low price and big portions (saw other patrons enjoying this). It also sounded like there are some good vegetarian options.
Classic Asian eating experience. The place itself is a bit outdated but once you get over that you're in for a delicious meal. They have two menus with one being more authentic dishes. Big portions, fresh flavors, and they make their own noodles! I had the best Mongolian Beef ever! And their Kung Pao chicken was amazing.Their service was speedy and great. Very friendly and attentive. Definitely will be returning next time I'm in the area.
This place is amazing! A little pricey, but extremely generous portions and fresh, fantastic food. Make it worth it. On top of that, everyone was extremely friendly, and very attentive without being invasive. I highly recommend getting them a chance, I will certainly be coming back here again!Hahaha if you're a person who likes their food really spicy, be sure to make that really clear, I suspect they're used to people with somewhat sensitive pallets.
Unexpected treasure. The food was delicious. Be sure to try the vegetarian BarBQue ribs. 5 Stars. My host is a vegetarian and that is what he ordered. Every dish was excellent. THE VEGGIES WERE BRIGHT AND PERFECTLY COOKED. WE HAD A MUSHROOM DISH THAT WAS SO FLAVORFUL. This is now my favorite Chinese restaurant. The outside looks tired but the food is terrific.
Seriously one of the best places I have eaten for Chinese/Szechuan/ Taiwanese/ Shanghai etc. since moving to Seattle. Being from San Francisco I felt like I was back home. The staff was so courteous and attentative. Felt like family. I think the owner works every day in the store every day and really does care. My hat is off to you. We need more places like this around. Mabel was sweet.
Absolutely love Chiang's Gourmet. Staff is always excited and friendly and the food has been delicious every time we've gone. Great for dine in or take out.
Wow! We always made fun of this place going by saying is that place open or is it some kind of cover business? Than we looked up the reviews and decided to try it we were blown right out of the water ! Absolutely delicious and definitely gourmet! I we had chow mein noodles with pork it was absolutely to die for the sauce and noodles omg I want that taste in my mouth everyday! My fiance ordered the spicy crispy beef we were all amazed how perfectly it was fried not too chewy not overly fried the sauce was just perfect we will definitely be back they were careful about checking vaccination cards and it was very clean ambiance, plenty to choose from on menu portion sizes were great and price was right. It was easy to park and find, excellent service, 5 stars!
It took an hour for our order, but we were warned of this before we placed the order. Good Chinese food.Menu is in both Chinese, and English.Still waiting for them to add Honey Cashew Prawns.
Chiang’s is such a hidden gem! We went for their Dim Sun from 11-3pm on Saturday and Sunday. We were greeted by friendly staff, who were very excited to share their recommendations. Everything was so delicious, fresh and made in house. A perfect lunch on a rainy day. I am excited to add Chiang’s to our favorite restaurant list!
