Good coffee, friendly service. Fast WiFi

I had an extremely poor customer experience on 5/15. I went in for an afternoon coffee and to sit down for a while. I asked for a drip coffee, and was informed they were out. So I ordered a latte for myself and my boyfriend. Once I ordered, I was informed that they close in 20 minutes (which is a fair thing to do).I sat down with our lattes, and was informed again that they close in 15 minutes. Again, at 10 minutes, and again at 5 minutes. At closing time, I was informed again, and so I left. The same thing happened to the other customers sitting in the coffee shop.It was such a disappointing experience, since the barista/cashier was rude, pushy, and had already dumped the drip coffee for the day.I should have just left before ordering, but didn’t realize they were closing at 1pm until after I had paid.I will not be going back again.

I’ve been to many coffee shops throughout Seattle, but Caffe Umbria continues to be my favorite. This location is clean, friendly, and timely with putting out their drinks. The quality is consistently good and the baristas are willing to make adjustments if you ask. They have some small baked goods as well. Convenient parking across the street. Highly recommend.

Excellent espresso. I had the Caffè al Pepe, a spicy latte made with honey, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. It came extra hot as I had ordered. Caffe Umbria offers tasty baked goods from local bakeries including Macrina, Limoncello, Gelatiamo and Ala Mode. Convenient location near Lake Union with easy access to parking, bus, bike or walking. Tidy shop with clean tables and bathrooms. Only thing missing was a comfy couch or lounge chair.

I got the Honey Oat Latte and it was phenomenal. You get a little chocolate square with your drink as well! They have a great small, but spacious indoor environment that has a nice view of the SLU water area. Good space for work. Best selection of vegan pastries compared to many shops in the area.

Friendly baristas, delicious pastries (especially the individual bacon quiche!), and an excellent cortado.

Locally owned company. Coffee is roasted in South Park. Baristas always friendly. Free chocolates with every drink. Free drink on Fridays if you buy a bag of coffee. Also have great fresh hand pies and baked goods.Much better, cheaper, and more cozy than the Starbucks across the street.

Love how bright and clean it is in here. Such a great place to meet up with friends to chat and grab a coffee. Absolutely love their london fogs as well!

service is the best i’ve ever experienced. maya, roman, and claire always are the best parts of my day when i come in and i do enjoy talking to jenna too. they did change bakery’s though and the new chocolate chip cookie is kind of weird, which is sad since the old one was my favorite thing. they make very tasty drinks too! i love coming here!

Ahhhhh what to say about this location! It was a cold winters morning, Christmas Eve to be precise. I was going around lake union on a run and I was parched. I came into café úmbria for a drink. I came out with much more. I realized I forgot my credit card. The young gentlemen assured me it was fine and gave me a cup of water and even a little whipped cream for my dog, Benito. I returned a week later and the young Man unfortunately was not there. I come by on week days and look in but he never seems to be there. I guess it compares to the young man looking within to help a parched soul. I long for the day when I will look in and see him, and this time, I will bring with me my card. This kind gesture will stay with me forever. Thank you.
