Our first visit to the Fisherman's Terminal Appasionato. A great location, not the best espresso but we'll be back and try again.Espresso: We each had espresso drinks (a latte and an Americano) and the drinks were decent with a smooth bitter taste upfront and an over roasted bitter after finish. Definitely not sour but bitter for sure. We were surprised because they come highly recommend. Perhaps the drip coffee is more smooth. We plan to try that next.We will try them again and report back.Ambiance: The place has an older 90s coffee shop vibe which is sort of authentically fabulous. Seeing the roasting room is always fun. Unfortunately it was filthy, and not the coffee dust filthy, the hasn't been deep cleaned in forever filthy. We were there bright and early and still our table was very dirty.Staff: The staff were sweet and friendly. They were maybe under staffed as they were busy and the two gals appeared stressed.Watching them tamp and pour the espresso shots the bartistas were a bit slopy and not the confident Seattle quality trained bartistas. This is not the spot for latte art.Food: They had a large selection of delicious looking house made pastries and ready-made sandwiches.We enjoyed a delicious raspberry scone.Again this is review based on one experience with two people who deeply love espresso, espresso drink preparation, and coffee culture. We will again return and report back.

Amazing service! This place is great,, they definitely have some of the nicest baristas Seattle has to offer and the atmosphere makes you instantly feel warm and cozy. The coffee is great, I have never had a bad drink here. If you are in the area and enjoy a great cup of coffee with some warm surroundings visit asap!

We were looking for the Ballard Locks and took a wrong turn. We stumbled across this coffee shop and it turned out to be a great experience! I had a mocha, was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too hot. The main room had a really good feel to it. I definitely will go back there when I'm in the area.
