This is the best food ever. Period. My only complaint? They are not available on goldbelly.com.
Great indo-pak street food. Served hot and plentiful for the price. The owner was also very pleasant. Would like to come again in the future
Great vegetarian options, quick, adorable, and delicious!
We visited here in July of 2021. Both myself and my wife were very pleased with our meals. Cafe ZumZum is part of 'the Market' food court inside an office building lobby (Century Square). It is basically about 2 blocks from Westlake Center in the heart of downtown. The atmosphere of the food court is pretty nice overall. Cafe ZumZum serves a variety of south asian curries, made with halal meat, and a selection of vegetarian items. My wife had the lamb curry on biryani rice and I had the lamb curry donne, which was basically lamb curry on top of a naan-like bread. The lamb curry was an 8/10 for me. It had a generic "south asian" style and was "moderately hot". It seemed to me like basically a lamb vindaloo but maybe toned down heat. The curry wasn't as intricately textured as some I have had before, but was still very tasty and satisfying in every way. The portion size was huge for the price. My lamb curry donne was maybe $11 and my wife's lamb curry with rice was about $13. Yes those are premium prices for a lunch, but the serving size is more than enough for most adults. We were both famished when we arrived and I was stuffed after eating my plate. My wife couldn't finish her lamb curry with rice either. For the serving size for cost, 10/10 for me. The owner/manager working there also seemed like a pretty cool guy. Highly recommended for a fast casual lunch.
What a hidden gem of a lunch spot in the mostly- sandwich and American food downtown. We’re so glad to have made the acquaintance of the owner. He has wonderful hospitality!
After downtown Seattle essentially shut down, the ever-popular Cafe Zum Zum moved next to Westlake Center and is tucked away in the Market at Century Square. Little do people know they are walking past the best lunch in Seattle. Before covid the line for this amazing food stretched out the door of the restaurant every Monday-Friday from 11-2pm without fail. Zum zum's Pakistani fare is absolutely delicious and a generous lunch at a great price. You can choose to try two different curries (there are usually at least 8 to choose from) including amazing vegetarian, chicken and lamb options. You get a generous portion of yummy rice, then curry and a side piece of flatbread. Enough for leftovets! I have been a regular for 25 years. Look for it right next to Westlake Center park in the building at the NW corner of Pike and 4th. Don't miss out!
Best curry around. I followed them here from their previous location. Must try if you have not.
One of my favorite lunch stops!
Perfect blend of spices, you can tell the owner really cares about making good food. I have had several dishes here and liked them all. Big portions mean you could share a plate. It’s a little tricky to find but worth the time to find it. If you enter on 4th Ave, it’s all the way back in the food court.
Lamb is amazing! So tasty! The perfect amount of food at a perfect price! I will be coming back!
