I almost don't want to rate this place because it's already hard to get a table... but this is some of the best Middle Eastern food you will find in the Western Hemisphere. It is on par with the best Doner in Germany and better than anywhere I've eaten in NYC.The sizzling lamb hummus, the true-to-form toum, and deliciously moist kebab make an unforgettable experience. I was mind-blown throughout the entire dinner.
Delicious Lebanese food!! Wow, I can’t believe we’ve lived in Ballard for so long and just now discovered this place. It’s a true neighborhood gem. Nice service and cozy ambience, though the restaurant itself is quite outdated and old, it adds to the charm!
Fantastic food and pretty good value. The mezze courses are for sure the highlight. In fact, we didn't really need the main meat dishes and would have been satisfied with just the mezze selections. The sizzling lamb hummus is a must.
Was here last Sunday for the chef's choice meal and it was delicious! We are vegetarians and had plenty of awesome dishes in all the 3 courses. My 3 year old loved the food too and the chef made a special stuffed cheese bread just for him! It was one of the most amazing dining experiences !
Overrated when comparing the stellar reviews to my outside eating experiences with Lebanese food. My homemade hummus is better. I love Lebanese food but this is not a place I would crave to go to when I need to satiate my Lebanese cravings. I think most of the 4-5 stars are from people who haven't had authentic Lebanese so I may be a bit harsh in my 3 star rating.
This Lebanese restaurant is definitely a gem in Ballard! A lot of vegetarian options, very balanced flavor and texture! The beet tahini is surprisingly refreshing and tasty. - 5/5Hummus bi tahini has so soft and creamy texture, with strong but balanced herb smell, and mild cumin flavor. Love it. 5/5Pita is complimentary with other fish orders. Each dish comes with 2 half pitas. Pita is thin and a bit dry. You can smell not too much butter. 4/5Lamb Kifta doesn’t smell too lamb, that’s good if people don’t like strong lamb smell. Herb is super with the minced lamb! Soft and juicy with pita. 4/5Love the interior design of the restaurant, very old fashioned.
The portion size is a bit small for the price, but the quality and variety of food makes up for it!
I'd been wanting to eat here forever and am so glad we finally did. Food was incredible, service was fast and attentive, price was great. Everything was absolutely incredible, gotta come back to try all the things. The baklava was the best I've ever had. Will become a regular here!
The food is excellent. It's better if you make a reservation. They were extremely busy. By 7:30 pm they didn't have the most popular items on the menu available. Our waitress was rude. The other waitress that help us was hustling but still nice, meaning with manners. Thanks God the rude waitress left. With all this, we understand they are short on personal and it was a Friday night. The food is definitely worth it. We learned the lesson and we're either going back on a less busy day or earlier.
I like the Lamb Kifta and mudardara. Flavors were pretty good and fast service. I wish the servings were bigger especially with the mudardara (rice and lentils).
