First time here and I really enjoyed my experience! Called ahead and asked how they're handling things during Covid and the gal was so nice she offered to take my order over the phone so I could just pop in and grab my latte. She even took my payment over the phone! Then when I came in, there was ample standing room, sanitizer available and the baristas were so friendly! Also a fantastic oat milk latte Thank you, I'll be back!
A nice, friendly, and homely neighborhood cafe with crepes (savory and sweet) as a specialty. My mushroom crepe was excellent despite the delay and confusion in fulfilling the order.I rec'd a table-tag number and expected my entire order to be served together at my table. However, I missed the coffee that was served at the counter and it got cold by the time I figured it out when the food arrived at my table.Arrival of a gaggle of school kids added some excitement to the somber afternoon of mid-age adults busy on their mobile phones.
slow and rude service. after ordering, i kept coming back to check on my order and it ended up taking 30 minutes. idk why the girl who took my order kept acting like she's never seen me before everytime i went to check on it. also the energy of both workers and customers was very weird. idk if its cuz i was the only black person there but ...
Went in to get a espresso to go. After women behind counter took my order, she smugly asked to see my vaccine card. I told her I was just getting my order to go and I pointed out that I had a mask on. Still, she persisted, asking for my vaccine card. It became obvious to me my espresso was not going to get made unless I whipped out my vaccination card. I had it on me, I have been vaccinated but it was the rude, smug tone she took with me when asking me for my vaccine card. And what logic is in requiring a customer to show proof of vaccination when they have a mask on and will keep it on during the entire time while inside the business? FYI, just because you're vaccinated, does not mean that you're danger free to everyone, you can still shed the virus, therefore passing it on. Good god people, use some common sense and logic! But hey, if making a customer show proof they have been vaccinated in order to get service gives you a power tripping high, Islee's minions, so be it. I'll just take my business else where, because you have a service and product that is not in short supply or unique. There is coffee shops on every corner.
First time I've been "Carded" in 55 years; for proof of being boosted and shot twice.More effective than a Presidential Mandate.Where else would you want to eat safely indoors?
This place used to be great, but it sure has gone downhill especially since the pandemic. The toilets are clogged the sitting area isn’t very well-kept up amd the staff is as rude as can be. I think I’m pretty much done coming here.
Such a friendly neighborhood spot to get something to drink and a snack.
I visited Cafe Javasti on a weekday morning, it felt warm, bustling and neighborhoody, I didn't have coffee, but order a savory crepe (chorizo, egg, cheddar, tomatoes) since crepes seem to be their specialties. The dish was good and satisfying, though not out-of-the-worldly so. It's hearty stuff, nothing fancy.
Although they have gluten free options it is not safe for someone with celiac disease or severe wheat allergies, I invited my daughter to eat and she had an allergic reaction, we believe that the cross contamination caused it. VERY CAREFUL WITH THAT.
Way overboard on covid measures!! Although I’m vaccinated, they indicate that if you’re not vaccinated can’t even do take out. That’s severe. And they have all the doors open . This would be ok in august but not late October ?! I guess if ur a lover of extreme covid protocols this place would be great!!!
