I love a cortado. I would be at Cafe Allegro every day if I lived in this neighborhood. Thank you for knowing how to make the classics.

First off, I waited for 10 minutes before someone took my basic order for straight coffee. It also wasn't clear where the line started for ordering vs where people were waiting for drinks... During the first sip of coffee, it was excruciatingly and obviously clear why every drink I saw being made and consumed contained abundant amounts of milk and/or sugar. The coffee itself is disgusting. It was unbearably bitter and tasted burnt. It was worse than most gas station coffee... Perhaps their espresso drinks are good, but it's usually pretty easy to hide terrible coffee with milk and sugar. I have been interested in trying Cafe Allegro for months because it has good reviews, but I was sorely disappointed. So far, Anchorhead Coffee is the only cafe I've tried that has decent beans and brews. I haven't yet tried a Seattle cafe that has better coffee than the french press and cold brew I make at home with beans from Trade.

Used to be able to order whole beans shipped to your home. Their website says they ship every Friday so today is Friday, i called to order and was told there is no one to go to the post office today. Yowsa! I sure am glad I didnt place an order online. So disappointing

Lovely place to grab good coffee and awesome baked goods, while they have them! Highly recommend their cortado and their apple turnovers, which both pleasantly surprised me.

Coffee is fine, vibe is golden. One of the closest coffee shop to UW, but not really on the main street, the location itself makes a local gem. The decor is filled with artifacts and stories distilled through time, the atmosphere is inclusive, relaxing and welcoming. It's been a while since my university days and Cafe Allegro reminded me how sweet and precious those days are now I'm done with school for good. It's nice to see young people who seem genuinely excited about the future, as well as seasoned faces carrying a sense of time with them.

Utterly delicious cold brew. I just picked one up to go, but it's one of the better I've had. Just the right amount of ice and cream too, in my opinion. The interior of this place is cosy, and they fit in a surprising amount of seating. I will be back Cafe Allegro!

This is clearly one of the best coffee shops in Seattle. Cool scene too. Lots of indoor and some outdoor seating. Great staff and art on the walls.

Adorable neighborhood coffee shop with amazing coffee.

Off the beaten path, and down the “hidden” ally: Allegro has been one of my go to spots for great non-chain coffee since arriving in Seattle in 2014. Indoor seating (with covid awareness) is available, but the outdoor ally cafe seating is by far the better choice for people watching and enjoying the seasonal planters that bring color and life to a European style cafe you cannot wait to try. Tip the baristas well! They are all awesome.

It's super cute. Really like it here.
