Highly recommend.Came here on a whim while visiting Seattle. Fantastic vibe, very personable bartender and patrons. Chicken tacos were nice (with hot sauce selection) and I was very pleased to see the Kona Big Wave on draft. Happy Hour/late night prices are also a bargain. Will be back.
This place is problematic.New to this area:Had a pretty terrible experience with the bouncer here. Actually pretty embarrassing. I saw 2 people pass by and not show their IDs. So when he asked me for mine I was a bit confused. So i asked if he normally asks for ID? He could have said yes or no but began banter. So I showed him my ID. I took it back and walked away speedily ready to end this encounter. He then calls me out, a woman walking into the bar alone, person of color (POC) asking “if we have a problem”. I was confused again. And asked him what he was talking about. He kept repeating himself. And when I asked what he was referring to, he said “if you have a problem, you can leave.”At this point it’s embarrassing because I feel singled out and unaware of what he’s getting at. So I asked him again what he was talking about calmly. I never raised my voice once but by this point he had.He said, it was the way I ripped the card out of his hand.Stunned I replied “I didn’t mean to rip my card out of your hand.” I— who had done nothing wrong— had to explain myself to someone who was starting to become physically intimidating. He, voice raised, fires back “okay then!” And walks off.Unsure of if he was trying to intimidate me into having a day worse than his…?I want to leave but again the onus is on me and people would probably assume I’m the problem— female, POC.Maybe he had a bad day. Regardless, horrible experience. And when I asked if there was someone I could talk with, they said for me to call someone later or come back tomorrow.Consequently my impression of this place is:RacistProblematicI tried to solve the problem cordially but unfortunately it’s not possible. If you come here, you support a part of America that is the problem.
We went here twice on our visit, the food was wonderful. Great prices and friendly servers. Lots of food to choose from too and homemade!! Definitely a must for your visit.
We stumbled on Buckley's while searching for food and drink near the Space Needle area. Great find! Our server was attentive and helpful, the food was prompt and good-my hamburger was excellent! And local beer cold and delicious. And if you're into sports, this is your place-at least a dozen TV's adorn the walls/ceiling.
We recently stayed at the Homewood Suites on Western in Seattle. Buckley's was walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed their varied menu and great choice of beers.
Great food (especially the breaded chicken dinner), and a great selection of drinks on tap. I highly recommend buckley's, whether simply for drinks, or for drinks and a meal!
Great sports bar to catch a game at it, even to get drinks before heading to CPA. Food was fantastic, great burgers and sandwiches, service was two thumbs up and TV's everywhere. I do believe they are short staffed but still catered to me and my group very well. You do need to show your vax card of some sort and wear your mask upon arrival.
Very tasty northwest salad, all fresh same quality after 3 years we tried it last time. Very cozy and friendly place where you want to come back for a pint of beer and the dishes. Keep on going and thanks!
The k my redeeming qualities of this place are the atmosphere and the cheese curds. It’s very cold inside (windows open for airflow), and it took 30 mins to get our first round of drinks…food is ok (not great).
Delicious BBQ Burger and salmon Caesar salad! Good quick take out service.
