We were in the area, so we decided to try this place. Looking back, I wish we never went.We were urgently asked to put on masks outside of their shop. Which is fine, it's their policy so we put them on...but right from the start we felt like we were treated as a second class citizen as they were trying to get us out the door as soon aspossible.We ordered and got our drinks. Next we decided to try them while we waited for our food... then we got demanded "can you drink that outside"...with zero context. We were confused as there are people eating and drinking directly next to us as we wait for our food...Then they asked for a vaccine card. We showed them. Telling someone to do something vs. explaining why are two separate things. The situation could of been handled a lot better as we were respectful and engaging the entire time.Staff 0/5Coffee 3/5

I love Boon Boona and used to go to their Renton location all the time when I worked nearby. I was excited to see this location open by my home. I just wish they’d open sooner even just 30 mins earlier at 730. I’m an early bird and every time I crave Boon Boona I’m 15-30 mins from opening time so sadly I have to pass because I don’t feel like waiting to get a coffee. I’ve probably passed it up a dozen times because of this ??
Please open earlier! (What Seattle coffee shop waits until 8am to open???)Excellent coffee, of course.
Finally! Place brews good strong coffee! Can’t wait to go every visit to Seattle. Staff is a pleasure to interact with.
So sad. Renton location is amazing. Came here and they only had one drip which was extremely bitter. Ordered cappuccino as well and was given a latte. How can the two locations be soooo different??
I normally love Boon Boona, they have excellently roasted Beans and terrific pour overs. I was disappointed by my experience at this new location, however. We ordered a cappuccino and were excited it showed 6oz /one size on the menu. However we got no foam, and essentially a short latte. Also they only had one option for drip coffee, and it was quite bitter. Their Renton location serves pour overs and I recommend going there or buying beans togo and making it yourself at home.
Great little coffee shop. They have seasonal options for drinks so check those out. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were made quick. They have some food options but ive only had their coffee so far. Drinks were good and barista was also friendly. Clean and open space with pandemic precautions in place currrently. You need to keep your mask on so unfortunately no eating or drinking in the store at this time.
This coffee shop is great. The coffee is good and the staff are awesome! They are also very responsible when it comes to Covid precautions.
