I changed to vegan about 4 months ago, but this fried chicken was worth breaking the fast! Amazing food and super amazing host! Loved it ♥️ Must go in Seattle!
Giving 1 star, because it won't allow zero. I ordered online for lunch on a Friday. This restaurant does not staff properly for peak times. I arrived at the restaurant to pick up, at the time indicated by the online system. When I inquired about my order, I was told it would be an additional 20 minutes. There was one person serving and cashing out the dining room, full of patrons. He also had to manage the cash register at the front, take new orders, and dole out carryout orders. A person was running back and forth to the kitchen, in order to put together carryout orders. The logical and smart thing to do, would be to place the tickets on the counter, in the order they are received. Instead, this person was haphazardly placing the tickets on the counter. Since this person did not put the tickets in chronological order, he had to look at the tickets repeatedly, in order to figure out which order the food belonged to. I saw, what appeared to be my order, on the counter, so I checked. My hot food that was getting cold, because the person working could not read the ticket, to see that my order was only waiting for a drink. I will not be going back.
The only way you can call this decent is if you haven't had real bonchon. Bonchon is double fried and so crispy you can leave them in your fridge overnight and they are still crispy.These are basic bar wings with Korean flavor sauce. Nothing like real Bonchon found in the rest of the us or I imagine Korea.It's a shame. Bonchon is one of my favs and we drove about an hour for this one.Flavor is still great, which is probably why they are 3.9 stars overall -reviews mostly from people who have never had the real thing!Edit - I forgot to add, the wings weren't even fully sauced. Like so many other pictures, the wings clearly had the sauce squirted on top of them, not tossed and fully coated.
I’ve been to many different Bonchon locations across the east coast. These are NOT Bonchon wings. The wings I got here were like regular wings you’d get at any wing place. Bonchon wings are supposed to be the lightest, crunchiest wings you’ve ever had and are supposed to take 20-30 minutes to get to your table after ordering due to the double fry process. These came to my table in under 10, proving to me that they didn’t cook them right. Parking was horrible (as in non-existent). Coming here was a waste of time and money. Only gave two stars because the service was fine.
I saw 8pc chicken strips for $12-$15 and thought it was a deal. The strips are more like skins, barely seasoned and the coleslaw container was barely half full....at least 2 stars because the spicy chicken is actually pretty spicey and service was also good, she was quick to greet me and while on her phone the whole time made small talk while I asked questions.Price doesn't justify quality... go to McDonalds, you'll get better chicken strips.
Dry and small pieces of chicken. I ordered take out and this was disappointing. We have bonchons back home and it’s much better than this.
Ok dining experience for a quick lunch. Tasty chicken but not the best quality. The rice was dry and may have been sitting for awhile. Will try again.
Best wings in Seattle! Tacos are a must try!!! Great food and great service!!!
Had the fried chicken wings and drum combo, with half spicy and half original flavor. Very crispy. The drum is okay size, but the wing is very small. The spicy flavor is okay, could have marinated for a bit longer for more flavors. The original flavor is very dull in taste, need some sauce to go with it IMO.
The food here is pretty good, wait time is low, and the staff are friendly. I’ve only ever ordered takeout so I can’t speak for the dine-in. Surprisingly, the chicken was probably my least favorite dish and the bul dak was my favorite. None of the spicy foods are very spicy for me, which I like since I could adjust the spice level at home. I recommend this place if you want something fast and tasty!
