You must go here. Happy Hour Mon-Thurs 4-8. They close at 8. Went early wondering where everyone was. Took a walk and came back..packed.

I like their BBQ, nice atmosphere, very friendly service, yummy sides. Mac & cheese for the kids is delicious. If you are craving comfort food, stop by here!

Everything was a big portion and so good! The bbq was perfect I wasn’t expecting it to be so flavorful since most bbq places can be a hit or miss! The Smoked Rib Bites was a good amount for one person and if you think you’ll want to share you won’t!Pink Pickled Deviled Eggs were great as well I thought it would have that overpowered pickled vinegar-y taste and smell and it didn’t which was a bonus.BBQ Nachos we’re also great and they didn’t slack on the pulled pork as well. It was a lot of meat, with a good amount of black beans, caramelized onions, and sour cream. My friends invited me to barbecue night yesterday.I said no, but now I’m regretting it. That was a missed steak ??

For 2 visiting Okies, we were impressed with this great little restaurant! The pulled pork was excellent, and the ribs were tender and well flavored. The sides were delicious. And the people who served us were so welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely be returning to our favorites Ballard restaurant.

We enjoyed great BBQ at Bitter Root and great Mac and Cheese. We ordered Brisket, beans, jalapeno cornbread, pulled pork and mac and cheese with pulled pork. All dishes were very good. The beans were sublime, the cornbread with honey butter was wonderful and the brisket and pulled pork were well smoked. Service was friendly and helpful to our party which included a wonderful baby who charmed everyone. High recommend.

Best BBQ I had in Seattle area. The sauces were really good especially the Mustard BBQ ? and one of the best cornbread I’ve ever had.

Nice presentation and service but dry brisket and corn bread. Hopes were high looking at their food when passed by earlier in the day, but by evening the food was unfortunately no longer at its peak.

My 1st review in over a year or more but after eating at Bitterroot BBQ aka MammothI felt guilty leaving and not. They have the best pulled pork sandwich I've had since I can remember. With 3 different kinds of house made BBQ sauce to choose from, for a steal of a price at $14 even before tax. With a very healthy portion of pork/ham, this sandwich does not disappoint. Very much looking forward to trying everything else on their menu! For a side I tried their cheddar grits, which were creamy perfectly cheesy, and cooked. They know what they're doing!!

Loved the baked beans and the meat. Will have to try cornbread and delived eggs again as our expectations might have been too high.

We walked into this place because the smell was that good. We weren’t even looking for barbecue. Our server was really cool and I think that was the best part. The most delicious dish we had was the fries and even though I am a fry fiend I’m not sure that’s a good thing. The grits were also delicious the slaw unfortunately had no flavor and the ribs were pretty dry. Pretty big bummer there but still giving it four stars because Experience was great and the few things we did enjoy were pretty dang good. My partner really loved the mac & cheese, I must add that.
