Pretty decent ramen in capital hill, the shrimp soup is thick and tasty. They emphasize that they do not use msg for the soup, making it straight from bones. The crab salad is also very unique, can clearly taste the crab in it. They give you seaweed to fold it in, could add some garlic flakes for taste. For the ramen, adding the garlic makes the whole bowl taste better. However, the downside of this place is that it is very small and the wait is very long, even if you arrive around 9 or 10 o’clock. Also, the chashu pork is not tender enough and with little fat. This is a ramen place that is worth going but maybe not worth that long wait.
Recommended for 1-2 people since it's a very small restaurant with only 2 tables with 4 seats, with the rest being booths for 1 or 2 people. Other than that and a small selection of Ramen and sides, the Ramen they serve here is very rich and creamy on its own. The Chashu maybe lacking, but they make up for it with a variety of table condiments of Chili Oil, Tare(Ramen Sauce), White Pepper, Sesame seeds, Fried Garlic, and a strong jar of Garlic Paste to add to the already rich Ramen broth. It's a really cozy place to eat with curtains available for the booths of 2 or 4 for some minor privacy and is the only Ramen shop in downtown Seattle to close at 2am.
This ramen shop specializes in two different types of ramen. Their main focus is the clean, rice and flavorful broth, henceforth the small menu. You order at the counter and they ask you to take a seat in one of their booths. I like the curtain as it keeps it private. The one experience is neat and the decor is simple. Come here for the clean broth, you will go home feeling happy.
Good clean broth, average noodles. Pretty expensive imo.Prawn Miso Ramen - 21.49 with tip
+ Not salty at all but still extremely rich in flavor, likely thanks to the restaurant sticking to “no-MSG”. Tried both broth. Both were amazing.+ Unique and creative Lobster salad. Definitely recommend trying that.+ Great noodle texture. On the firm side.~ Chashu (pork) was just ok. However with this amazing broth it doesn’t matter.~ Slightly pricy but well worth it.Best ramen I’ve tried in Seattle area. I would come to eat here every day had I still live here.
Great natural pork broth! No MSG or milk and the perfect level of salty. I think this is the first pork/meat in the ramen that I actually loved! Love the amount of toppings they have you can add. The jello sake is such a unique drink and recommend.
Fried garlic chips on the table. Humid. They have a seasoning station at the table with instructions how to change your broth to your taste. Lobster salad had massago in it. Good stuff. Coming back from Issaquah for sure.
Best ramen in cap hill in a very small storefront. Be prepared to wait 6pm-8pm on Fri/Sat/Sun. Much better broth than any other ramen bar nearby. 10/10.
I ended up at this ramen spot cause my usual place was closing and I'm so glad I did. I actually preferred it. It's the kind of ramen you could eat everyday and never grow tired of. Their potstickers were beyond delicious too, perfectly cooked. Soft and crunchy. It was intimate with the divider curtains as well. This is my new regular ramen shop! Highly recommend!
I had the Hakata style ramen, not knowing anything about this ramen shop. I have no idea if it was authentic to the style, but I did not care. It was absolutely delicious! It looked exactly like the picture. The broth was rich; the chashu was juicy, tender and plentiful; the egg was perfect. This was an 11:30pm order with little expectation and I intend to be a repeat customer!
