Fantastic baked goods. Visit early or order the night before. They sell out quickly. They serve Herkimer coffee - some of the best coffee in Seattle - but can be hit or miss depending on barista’s ability. But phenomenally good pastries made fresh daily.
Insanely rude staff. Don't bother going unless you pre-order the night before.Staff and the person immediately in front of me, who ordered the last pieces of the item I came specifically for at 8am, both laughed at me. It's the only item I can comfortably eat there, too.Staff would not allow me to pre-purchase the item when the next batch came out in an hour, meaning I ran the risk of someone ordering everything of a type item, again.Pre purchase menu also doesn't cover things they always have, so is almost useless.Pastries are good but I can't believe the audacity to mock a patron.
Croissants are so so good
Definitely my favorite bakery in Ballard. Friendly staff and amazing pastries. Highly recommend!
Googled coffeshop and Besalu popped up.. I mentioned they had great reviews and this was my first time in. I ordered a beautiful machinations and the Barista gave me a chocolate croissant on the house! I highly recommend this place . Great customer service and coffee and awesome customer service!
I came here on a cloudy Sunday and ordered a Pain au Chocolat after a few minutes of waiting. I like the slight bitterness of the chocolate with the crispy layers of the croissant. Worth waiting in a line for this.
We've been going here for years and it's always excellent. I'm a big fan of their ham and swiss, and anything with seasonal fruit. Highly recommended.
My go-to is their ham and cheese pastry, but you really can't go wrong here. Everything is good
The best croissants and short bread you can get around the city. Great energy . Don’t forget to ask Hanna about the daily specials. 5/5
Love Besalu, go there all the time. They always have a tasty vegan option. Don't forget to ask Hannah about the secret menu!
