I like this self-labelled Vietnamese streetfood in a finer dinning vibe. The entrance is a massive bait; they have heating lamp displaying hot food as you enter. Services was excellence, the water was always filled. Everyone is extremely nice and answered questions. This location is exponentially better than the U-Village one. I ordered the Ba Bar Passionate Pandan Cake ($9), Do Nuong Sa ($11), and Lemongrass Rockfish ($19). The Pandan cake is only a weekend thing, and it did not disappoint. The Do Nuong Sa aka Grilled lemongrass beef skewers, its oily good and great pairing sauce with hot chili oil and oyster sauce, except your hands to get oily as you'll be grabbing the burnt part of the lemongrass instead of bamboo sticks (creative). Lastly, the Lemongrass Rockfish is well seasoned and cooked well, it was great. I asked the waitress/managers about the changes during the pandemic. BaBar used to be a super late stable and afterhours becomes a dance floor. Cannot wait for them to bring it back :)

It's not your traditional Vietnamese restaurant, but more Vietenamese fused with Capitol Hill vibe. Got seated on their outdoor patio with heated cover top. Started off with their Grilled Asian Eggplants and Crispy Imperial Rolls, and then ordered the traditional Pho Tai Nam (Beef Combination Pho) as the main dish. The starters were tasty but the Pho was mediocre. Wish it had more broth in it and wish there was different sizes of bowl. Only 1 size and 1 price for all of the Noodle soup.

Nice place. I had ordered in and have not dined in here, but love to go. I ordered the duck supreme rotisserie with broken rice. It was really good with a nice balanced flavor and an amazing crispy crust. My wife took the pho ga and it was good as well. I really liked the broth and portion sizes were also good.

The food was good but seemed a bit pricey. Paid $50 for the food in the photo which fed 2 people. It was worth trying but I probably won’t eat here again. Nice location to go walking after you eat.

Ba bar has been one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants for the past decade now and it’s definitely my go to place!Very flavorful street style food and I love getting their pho or vermicelli. Everything I’ve tried is so mouthwatering and their drinks are amazing too. You can tell they use fresh, quality ingredients and it’s always good whether you are dining in or taking out.Very hip, modern and clean inside. This location has a really cool, spacious outdoor heated patio that’s open all year long too. Everyone that works here is always super friendly and nice! It’s a great spot to go with friends, family, coworkers and even dogs :)[12/31/2021]

We've ordered a beef brisket and an oxtail soup to go and they were both amazing

I’m most excited about the Pandan cake! So delicious. Not too sweet but very rich and flavor mainly because it’s so unique.Egg rolls are good! Standard.I got the fish vermicelli noodles, a bit salty. I’ll stick to the pork. I wish they had pork chop option.Overall, I’ll return for more!

So glad to have come across this gem. We had the Crispy Imperial Rolls, the Bún Bò Huế (a spicy Vietnamese soup), and the Phở Tái Oxtail. The spicy soup was outstanding! As was the pFriem Pilsner beer that accompanied the meal. Service was attentive, fast, and friendly. Bottom line…this restaurant is well worth many return visits!

Drinks and food were incredible! Loved this spot.

The ultimate duck was absolutely ultimate. Perfectly cooked inside with the crispiest skin on the outside. I can't wait to eat here again.
