I just picked up food from this "hyped" place. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken bites, Chicken noodle soup (Kathmandu chicken soup), and spinach momo. The chicken bites were just average and not sure how they were even tandoori, the soup was oily. The momos were decent. I do not believe I will be going back to this place in future.
The samosas and paneer naan were pretty good, along with the mint chutney. The namesake curry here was not tasty, however. And I’ll warn you that it’s not blended up - the veggies were huge.
The flavors and quality of ingredients was incredible. I recommend the Vegetable Annapurna Curry and Lhasa curry. Also the garlic and Mango Lassi.
The most popular, Tikka Masala is to die for!!!!
We had purchased few food items for to go as the restaurant is not open for Dine-in yet.One of the food item which we purchased was Kathmandu Noodle Soup with glass noodle. When we pour the glass noodle, something like insect’s head came out. This is unfortunate & petty disgusting.I just want to say, the business to be careful of what they are preparing & how.Hope no other guest will have to deal with something like this.
I don't eat Indian food often but a friend recommended this place and it was fantastic. if you're not into spice, definitely order as mild as possible, it was pretty strong-- though still delicious (in my white midwesterner opinion lol)
Pass this place a lot smells like bouillon. Bet it's better.
I ordered through post mates at 7:36. At 7:54 I got a text saying the order was ready for pickup. I went to pick it up, but when I arrived I was told there was “no order for Sidney”. Not “no order ready”, just no order at all for anyone named Sidney. So I called to see if I could talk to someone less dismissive. On the phone someone told me they had the order but it wasn’t ready. I ended up getting the food at 8:29, over 35 minutes after it was “ready” according to their text.I don’t mind food taking a while to get ready, but getting a ‘ready to pick up’ text over 30 minutes early is very frustrating. Especially when I’m getting conflicting info from text, calling, and in person. Watched several other frustrated diners leave without their food after they waited quite a while. The food was good though, so +1 star for that!
My favourite place for nepalese food! Great food with generous portions and a lovely staff. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. If you don’t want to stay and eat, it’s close to Cal Anderson which is a nice area to eat/read
The blandest Nepali food I’ve ever had. Kinda interesting to see all the white people raving about it.
