3 time coming to zips for a meal before I wrote my review and also the 3rd location that I've tried. All I can say is that at least most of their locations the fries are at least somewhat hot. Love crinkled cut fries over the shoestring cut fries because they retain their heat a little bit longer on the 5 minute drive home. The burgers are ok but haven't really found one on their menu that I have wanted to try or that has wow'ed me. Maybe I just haven't gotten one yet that's really worth it.
Zips is a Richland WA icon! My dad would go here in highschool in the late 50's early 60's. There are too many fan favorite menu items to mention but the Papa Joe, Belly Buster and the Big Zipper are my favorites. People love the fries (I do to) but I recommend the Cheddar Tots or the deep fried mushrooms! I don't have any pics of my food orders but there are plenty in other reviews. For a great local burger and some killer sides, Zips won't disappoint. Service is surprisingly fast either inside or in the drive thru. I get off work at noon which is when the local high school kids bombard the place. There can be 5-10 cars in the drive thru and I'm still out in under 10 minutes. My daughter and son in law are 30 so they are a 3rd generation Zips family. Is it health food? No. Do they claim to be? No! Need a good fast food fix? Head to Zips!

I have grown up with Zip's as a welcome treat in our house...great service amazing burgers and fries...and the trickest milkshakes around!! Lovenit!
The food is good, but they always get my order wrong. I feel like they do not completely listen to me when I'm ordering. The attitudes there aren't always the greatest either. Please make some changes it's getting slightly old.
They are the only ones who have Fried mushrooms in fast food restaurant and never Fresh they re-fried always taste nasty. But Good bacon cheese burger
I arrived 45 minutes prior to closing time tonight, and the employees were obviously working on closing procedures, which I believe led to my order taking 20 minutes to complete, the sauces forgotten, and the food overcooked. The employees already had the ingredeients partially put away when I ordered, and had to get them back out. I come here a couple times a month and usually have good experiences here (good food, somewhat decent service), but this evening left a bad taste in my mouth and a craving unsatisfied. I was incredibly disappointed by this experience.
I love the retro look of this place! The food is simple in a good way.The burgers are thin, but I actually prefer them like that. The crinkle cut fries and fry sauce are nothing short of amazing and the shakes are excellent, too.On a side note, the employees seemed happy and like they got along well. That was nice to see :)
Never would have expected such great hamburgers from a little fast food place. My husband had a juicy burger and I ordered a corndog...and it was PERFECT!
This location is Nasty. Dirty. Sad too, because I have been a Zip's (Spokane/Tri-cities) customer since the 1980's!!
