i can’t believe this hidden gem is in tri-cities! My husband took me out on a nice dinner here and the food was incredible, the staff lovely, and hearing the owner himself this will be our new place! ps the crab cakes are to die for
From the first bite on the home made bread and the delicious balsamic vinegar to the last bite on the tiramisu, this place has one of the best Italian foods I’ve ever had! I am delightfully surprised.
The food was pretty good! Unfortunately, our server still wore a mask at our table and was so soft spoken we really had a difficult time communicating with her. Masks were no longer required at that time. E
We came here on a recommendation but won't be back as we were disappointed with the food. My wild mushroom capellini came out without the garlic, butter and wine sauce and they apologized and made me up some. The mushrooms and prawns were pretty bland. The tiramisu was delicious but a little frozen in the middle. The Bolognese had very little meat in the red sauce. The service from our server was great, but sometimes sparse - there was only one person working front of house. Might be a little more put together on the weekends.
Excellent Italian food and the desserts are amazing!
The environment is nice ? The food is ok ?. When I received my food it was cool and the portions are small. It takes quite sometime to get your food after ordering. I was not impressed!
The marsala sauce they make here has made me question whether anything else I've eaten before can even be considered food. I can't even express in words how good it was. 11/10.To add to that, though, so that this is a legitimately helpful review, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is wonderful, and it's not even really that expensive. I'd recommend Monterosso's to anyone. Consider calling ahead of time to make a reservation, though, because they're usually not too busy but there's not a whole lot of space. Particularly on days like Valentine's day.
I've eaten at Monterosso's a few times. We had some friends come into town and wanted to try a unique restaurant, so we took them here. They loved it! Great food, great wine selection, great service, cool atmosphere!
Too often what should have been a nice dinner out turns into "should just have cooked at home" mediocrity.THIS WAS NOT THAT. The dining car had a nice vibe. The waitress was friendly and the food was great. As I was eating my veal marsala I kept muttering "this is really good". The chicken soup my wife had was remarkable. It had the mouth feel of clam chowder and this rich flavor that's hard to describe. You could tell each item had been thought through and, I guess, perfected. Except for the cheese cake. I would probably order it again ... after trying all the other deserts. It was just mediocre. There was a great raspberry sauce on top, and an awful slab of graham crust under. I've had better from grocery stores. The coffee was really good though. We will be back.
Excellent food! Great atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend. The manicotti was delicious.
