Sloppy dressed staff that gave poooor service. We were going to have dinner there, but decided to go elsewhere based on the service and limited dinner choices. Two items were marked out of stock. It was 5:30pm how can a restaurant be out of something so early.
Bartender has a chip on it’s shoulder, and wanted to be a super feminist. Like the kind of guy that holds a sign yelling “ men suck”Maybe his man bun was wound too tight?Id go to Foodies to get better service and better cocktails!
Great cocktails but the menu left lots to be desired . I had a hamburger, but in general I'd only recommend this place for drinks. The appetizers menu was small and not very interesting. There were very few options for more hearty fare. I really hope these both change. Side note this seems to be a popular place for dates/ couples. If you're into people watching, it's above average.
Tasty drinks, not too loud, nice spacing between tables and good lighting. The bartenders are really creative so don't hesitate to ask them to create something special. If you like bitters and are feeling adventurous, ask for the Trinidad Sour. ?
I love their cocktails and food. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The staff are very friendly and fun.
I come here often, because the unusual cocktails and delicious food are unique to the area. My only complaint is that the acoustics are awful. They really need to invest in some sort of dampeners. I can never hear whoever I am with, even if they are sitting right next to me.
(The staff minus the bartender seemed apologetic, but this is my experience regardless) we sat at the bar for 45 minutes with no greeting and nobody to take our order. We had to flag down what was seemingly a busser to take our order, including drinks, which was ridiculous since we were right there at the bar. Waited an hour for the food, my husband didn't even get his burger (which they offered to make one to go but we declined bc if we wanted a soggy burger we would have ordered to go in the first place) drinks are super good, food is okay, bartender literally ignored us and greeted other people though so get a table if you come here dont sit at the bar. No, they weren't busy either! There were plenty of empty tables. We won't be back, but try your luck; it might be better.
I cannot recommend Moniker enough. I have been here nearly 10 times since they opened and I have never been disappointed in anything. Their food is creative, fresh, and mouth-watering delicious. The menu changes enough to keep things exciting each time you go in, but is familiar enough each time that you can find something similar enough to your old favorite. And, even if it’s not on the menu, the staff is willing to make a previous dish if they have the ingredients. Their craft cocktails are top notch. Best I’ve had ANYWHERE, and that includes in some of the largest cities in the US. They always keep a decent blend of dark cocktails and lighter tiki inspired cocktails to please anyone’s palette. Even when I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone in regard to spirit or ingredients, I’ve always been blown away. Do not miss this place. It does not match up with what you think you’ll find in the Tri. It’s classy and intimate enough for a date night, lively enough for a celebration dinner or drinks, and casual enough for a weekday dinner on a whim. 10/10, would review again.
That best drinks and so wonderful gentle workers
Moniker is hands down one of our favorite spots for drinks, date nights, and to take our friends. The food is delicious and offers vegan/vegetarian/and gluten free options that do not leave you disappointed. The thought that goes into their cocktails is incredible; so long & thx is always a favorite. Definitely recommend Moniker. The owners and staff are so friendly and kind; we just love it there.
