Delicious coffee! Very inexpensive too. Cute little place with a fun vibe. Thanks for your service Catherine :)
I LOOOVE this place! The young man who works there and the manager are always friendly and accommodating. The food, coffee and beer are amazing. The prices are the best in Tri Cities for the quality and the artsy vibe had me at hello! It is truly an aesthetic delight every way you look in this place. As a native of Tri Cities and Portland,OR, this establishment has the feel of a quirky downtown Portland coffee & beer haus, right in the heart of Richland. Well done, Caterpillar Cafe!
so great and really amazing coffee!
Things I love about Caterpillar Cafe:- It's really easy to order online (while still customizing your drink exactly as you like it) and to pick it up curbside or in-store- There's no charge for alternative milks- You can get hot cocoa with alternative milk- There's lots of fun products in the cafe like tea infusers and drink sleeves and glass bottles- Diverse seating (couches, barstools, tables, a couple outdoor tables)- Usually a pretty short wait for drinks- I have a punchcard (that I always forget to use but that's beside the point). After like 5-6 punches (1 drink = 1 punch?) you can get ANY drink free (ANY size)!!- It's LOCAL and has way more options than most places - you really get to customize your drinks to a specific level- Everything that gives it that Adventures Underground vibe - the medieval-like map tables, the Alice In Wonderland and Star Wars themed drink names, the poem that explains the (free) wi-fi password, etc etc etc!My one dislike:- The food is a little pricy but I think that can be expected of coffee shops. The drinks are also not cheap but compared to other coffee places, Caterpillar Cafe's drink prices are pretty decent (and worth the extra quality)
Covid has ended music and all the social events the cafe was known for. Two new gaming tables adorn the center of the cafe. One is a work in process for several months.Service is slow and at times awkward. Quiet on Sunday when I always visit. Wifi is ok. Prices are on par with most everybody. I have enjoyed a couple of their sandwiches. For peace and quiet I recommend it. Sandwiches, coffee, tea and a few cookies are essentially the extent of the menu. Give it a try.
Best staff, drinks, and environment in a Cafe that I know of in the tri cities! Always feel super welcome and they never disappoint when I ask them to reccomend me something!
Their espresso is always perfect.
Cute vibe, friendly staff, and they make a good cup of joe! Not sure why someone said their coffee's expensive, it's among the cheapest in town unless you're used to getting gas station coffee w/ no creamer; this is a much better bang for your buck, quality-wise. Plus, for those with dietary restrictions, they don't charge extra for any of their dairy alternatives in your coffee! That's hard to find, some places charge as much as $1 extra just for almond milk. I also really appreciate that it's a bit quieter than some of the other shops in town, I get tired of having to shout just to have a morning chat with a friend over coffee.
Just totally love the vibe of this place. Was bummed that due to Cool Desert Nights I couldn't browse the book/records/games like I usually do. Was glad to see people wearing masks here. I have a lowered immune system due to ongoing health conditions. I took refuge in the Cafe.
Friendly helpful service. The Italian panini was delicious and flavorful. Also I loved the iced white rose tea. Looking forward to trying the coffee next time I'm in.
