Looked for recent reviews and didn't see any, so I thought I'd share. My husband likes to find local places and this little gem popped up. It is a blueprint Mom and Pop Diner. The good news is the food is great and the service awesome! I had the best patty melt I've ever had with scrumptious housemade potato salad. Hubby had the multimeat omelet with wonderful home fries. The negative: the potatoes come with grilled onions and bell peppers. Did not know to ask for plain ones. Service was very attentive and friendly. Easy to spot the regulars by the table chatter! Decor is dated but in a cute way. We were very happy campers here and will return!
My wife and I have been coming here for over 3-4 years now and probably our one and only American Breakfast joints we really go to.The food is delicious, the coffee is delicious, and the customer service is 10/10.Highly recommend
Decent enough breakfast diner. Similar feelings as other reviewers around cleanliness. Our server ended up touching our cups with the coffee pot when pouring more coffee, which put us off a bit with covid. Food was alright. We like our hash browns, sausage, and bacon a bit more cooked, but we got softer foods. My wife wanted over medium eggs but got over easy. Most of this could be overlooked if the prices were cheaper, but we paid almost $40 for two people.Overall, it's fine. But not a fantastic spot.
Very homestyle cafe, vibrant feel , good food and a great service. We had pancakes, breakfast sampler and veggies omlettee…Coffee was great and very pocket friendly
The venue:A roadside diner that has been in operation for decades, Tommy's Cafe gives me 70's and 80's flashback with it's decor and booth stylings. When you enter you're given the option to sit anywhere that has a number on it. You'll find that most of the booths have advertisements on the tables (much like the diners of yesteryear). It's a nice flashback to when I was a kid. You'll also find that most of those advertisements are for businesses that are long gone, so I wouldn't try and give any of them a call. There is a TV that is usually on some sport, so if you want to be able to view that screen, you'll want to sit on the right hand side (if looking straight at the building from the main road) of the restaurant. The staff:Staff here have always been very pleasant, and one of the waitresses actually remembers our orders. All of the people working here work hard to make sure that tables are being turned at a good clip, so should you show up and it's very busy, just give it a few minutes and something will become available. Tommy's also use a cash register receipt that you can scan with your phone (if it was made in about the last 4 years) so you can touchless pay using your phone. Pretty nice in the age of COVID.The food:The food is your standard diner food. Breakfast and lunch choices abound on the menu, so you're likely to find something that will interest you. My partner usually has the eggs benedict and other than one time months ago where it came out a bit rubbery, it's always very delicious and is their go-to when dining in. I usually have the philly cheese dip, extra cheese. Also very good when you're hungry. The fries are made crisp and hot - just the way I like them.
Absolutely amazing and exactly what we needed! My partner got the mess and I got the mini, both were excellent choices and super filling. Also the hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and the coffee & hot chocolate hit the spot. Thank you!
It was okay. The waitress was nice. She spilled the coffee on me and the table and comped the coffee. That was nice. My sisters got the scramble and that looked and tasted goof compared to my other sisters French toast which was not the best. I had a omelet I created myself and it was good. The home fries were a but undercooked but still okay. I can't complain. The atmosphere was great the service was good. It was a nice family breakfast place to eat.
Ordered breakfast and I was totally disappointed! Dirty silverware, disorganized kitchen, staff came out kitchen to clean table went back without washing hands and touching all the food… My hash browns were totally RAW,probably only cooked a minute or two still was cold and they plated it. I won’t go there again!
Waitress was helpful and friendly, my wife's fish and chips and my Monte Cristo was great
My wife and I came wanted a nice breakfast. Tommy’s came up on Google with 5 stars so we decided to go. We were not disappointed, the service and food was outstanding. Chicken fried steak is A+
