Had the opportunity to try out some food at the Chinatown Night Market - seems like the website is outdated on their banner, but the address matches up here. Food was pretty good but prices didn't quite align well in my opinion. I feel like they may have increased the prices here due to popularity (hence the $9 on a piece of paper taped over the original price). These items were mainly appetizer types (skewers, rolls) and $9 for them isn't quite justified. Sure it's a night market and you're one of a few select vendors so people will have to come, but if I'm rating holistically those are my thoughts. However, keeping in mind the vendor setting and that there were definitely expenses included to travel from Renton and set up, I'd like to be easier on rating the value so harshly.By the time we ordered, a lot was already sold out. We opted for the shrimp salad roll and the chicken satay in the end. Shrimp roll was pretty good and surprisingly fresh as well as being spread out evenly so that each bite was consistent. You wouldn't get like one bite of only lettuce for example. Price again was mediocre. Chicken satay (skewers) had some amazing flavor, juicy, tender, and sweet. I was definitely a big fan of the chicken which carries most of this review . They didn't skimp on the portions here either because the skewer stick itself was hard to find and hold because chicken was just piled on. Definitely on my bookmarks when I'm around Renton.
This is some of the best Vietnamese food in Renton that I've found, so far.My only beef with it (and I truly hope the owners will see this and take it into account) is how SWEET everything was. It was shocking! The quality and freshness of food was incredible, but everything had boatloads of sugar, which seems completely unnecessary. How about more lime, mint, or pepper flavor? Or more lemongrass, or savory?A bun bowl should not be sweet, and I could barely finish mine due to the sweet factor, both in the beef, and in the nuoc chom.Save the sweet for dessert, please!
The food here is excellent. There are vegetarian options here but this place really excels at grilled meats, and the accompanying dipping sauces. There are many dishes in this category here.My friends and I like to eat family style here (you really do want to try everything). 2-3 appetizers and 3 main dishes was enough to feed 4. The house special steamed rice cakes are a favorite of ours.
I have ordered takeaway from here before and it has always been good. Today was the first time I went in and the service was absolutely stellar. I got the Lemon Garlic Beef and it was exceptional. Perfectly seared beef and perfectly cooked veggies. I'll probably get it again later this week, it was so good. Highly recommend this place.
The most authentic Vietnamese food you can get prior to Seattle, where it is saturated with Vietnamese restaurants. Give their bún chả Hà Nội a try.
It is elegant, very friendly staff. Huge selection of meals . By suggestion of the staff I had lemon garlic beef and it was amazing. When I'm in the area I'll be trying more things I'm the future.
Had the beef meatballs pho very good, one thing for sure a small is plenty. Be sure and have the spring rolls wonderful presentation
Was very dirty inside. The floor was sticky and the wall at the table had food splatter all over. The pho had almost no flavor, just tasted like water with oil and a bit like the rare beef. Usually the broth has a ton of flavor without adding anything. We won't go again, just to dirty inside.
Some real nice flavors and friendly service. My kid had rare beef pho and I really liked the broth it had. I had the shrimp and Pork Noodle Soup with rice noodle. I really liked the crispy fried prawn thing floating on top. I want to have this again.
Pho tastes the best around here. The server is knowledgeable of each menu to tell us the right amount and flavor that we’d like. He even remembered our visit from 2 months ago! Amazing service & food. We’d give more stars if possible ?
