We liked Shari's and it has been our go to since we moved up here, but our last experience was our nail in the coffin. We've been at least fifteen times here, probably more, and the food is almost always good and well prepared. We've had one or two misfires, but with one the server was very amenable to correct it. The staff has never been rude when you're at the table, but they're clearly spread too thin. It does take ages to get your check or to find someone to help you with something like a refill, but I know they're very short staffed, and at least they still have a positive attitude. Especially one of their (managers?)--I think his name starts with a D, but he's always very positive and really lifts the mood.I say that because it's really disheartening to try to go there and wait in the waiting area for at least ten minutes without any kind of acknowledgement. Like they actively avoided even looking at us or the other people waiting. I know it's not the servers' job to seat people, they usually have a host, but when there is none, at least a time estimate would be nice, or even hello.We're a pretty amenable group, and haven't complained when the order is wrong, or having to wait fifteen minutes sometimes just to get a check. We tip well, and it was really just insulting. We get it, you're busy, and probably burtout, but at least have the courtesy to tell us you can't seat us. We'll do what we did, which was leave, and it would have spared you this review.
Food and service was 6/10. There was an employee that I believe goes by Tyler that was really nice and helpful. I noticed that he was a dishwasher and saw that he went above and beyond to help the servers as they were clearly understaffed. He explained that he was only a dishwasher but he would try his best to help us get the best service he can provide. I would give them a better rating, but like I mentioned, they were understaffed and the employees looked very stressed, which I don’t blame them.
The food was great. We often just sit down and dine in. But even the take out of was great.The price is cheapTh quality is great and home-y
We went to this Shari's on Sunday June 5, 2022 after spending the night at the Best Western next door. Our waiter was Justin and he did an exceptional job ensuring we had been asked about drink orders, taking our orders and following up with the status of our orders. Justin was very professional in how he handled the meals checking in often enough but not too often. The food was very good and the order came out as ordered. Well done Shari's and Justin.
Decent burger, tasted good and fries were pretty well done.Issues arise with cleanliness of the place though.First off, the tables have utensils laid out in the open and they had some residue on them.Tables had what looked like a light film of glue or adhesive or left over something.Finally, the bathroom, this was the main red flag for me, holy was it gross for a restaurant, let's just say I've seen many highway truck stops cleaner than that bathroom was.In summary, food tasted ok, prices were not bad, but not sure if I'd trust the cleaning capabilities of the staff and what that might say about the kitchen status
Nice staff food was mediocre. Updated 5/4/22: similar to my last visit only this time no food! 2 people running the entire restaurant. The nice waitress said it would be a 10 minute wait just for a table. Promptly left as well as the other guests in line
my partner and I have come in multiple times recently, often at night. the staff have always been above & beyond kind, friendly, & efficient. you feel so welcome when you walk in. we came in tonight to find out they were understaffed with only 2 waitresses. regardless of this, the service was amazing and our food made it to us promptly. we appreciate the effort & hard work that the employees put into this location!!!
Stopped in for a slice of Deep Dish Washington Apple pie. Had it a la mode with a cup of coffee. Was quite good. Quiet place so was able to have a nice chat with my colleague who I met with. Staff were attentive. Plenty of parking and easy to navigate to.
Ordered 2 whole pies to go for Pi Day 3/14. Pies are wonderful and it was so easy to order the day before and pick up the day of. Very friendly staff. We have eaten there a few times in the past. Good food, good service.
Great food, due to pandemic guidelines please expect longer wait and serve times! But aside from that the food and feel are still the same great taste and service your expect!
