One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in town. Everything we ordered was delicious but definitely order from their house special selections and definitely order the bahn beo steamed rice cakes and bahn xeo Vietnamese crepe. Remember to order the rice cakes dish ahead of time since they need 20 minutes to prepare it. The cha gio fried egg rolls were great, crispy and they're fish sauce is nicely balance, not too sweet nor salty. The only comment is that their bowl of pho is a tad bit on the oily side. That would be one of the few items that I probably won't order again. But from what I heard the other dishes are fantastic. We'll definitely be back to try their other selections.
Right now Renton Bistro is having staffing problems, so expext to wait a little bit. That said, the wait is worth it. The menu is full of Vietnamese specialties that are simply delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly.
Tried to take my two boys and myself for lunch at noon on 6/23. Waited five minutes before a female waitress came out. I said hi and then she said the wait is twenty minutes with no smile and that was it. She didn't say would you like to take out or join a wait list or anything. Talk about first impressions with very poor customer service. I'm glad I didn't spend my money here. I said good bye and left.Parking is limited and very compact and not ADA friendly.
Service was friendly and fast, especially for being really busy, packed and lots of to go orders.Thai tea and coconut juice were both really good. Spring roll with peanut sauce was excellent. Grilled pork roll was okay. Fried squid was really good.Had the oxtail pho, good noodle and meats. Broth was just okay, kind of weak on flavor.Would come here again, but try a different main dish.
Just about the very best Vietnamese inspired Asian bistro I have been to anywhere...stunning menu and delightfully delicious. Ambiance is just great and the prices very reasonable. The fried chicken and baked clay pot rice dish with ginger sauce is just unstopable... The appy rolls are amazing- try the grilled pork sausage ones. Fab vegetarian items too...what are you waiting for? Go.
Food was great! I loved the deep fried tofu, shrimp cake spring rolls, and the beef stew! The meat in the beef stew was so tender! However the lady server just wasn’t the vibe. This clearly isn’t the career for her… The bald male server was nice but he can’t wait every table and make up for her lack of service. They did offer water but didn’t refill.
Food is extremely delicious here. We've only ordered take out. We did try to dine in once but didn't realize that they don't seat you after 8:30. It would be wonderful if they posted this on Google, their website or even on the door when you come in so you aren't surprised. The last time we ordered over the phone, they advised it would be 40mins. Arrived and had to wait another 20mins after closing time.
The food was excellent; however, if Ii were to make one complaint, it was in the order with which our food was brought out. I was there for a casual lunch with my brother. We each ordered a beer, an appetizer of the fish sauce fried wings, and a bowl of bun bo hue. Our beer came out and we waited for the appetizers. Instead, we got our bowls of bun bo hue before the wings. Halfway through finishing our bowls of noodles, the wings came out. Obviously, if they had a wait for the wings, they could've just held off bringing the noodles out until we'd actually gotten a chance to enjoy the beer and wings together.
Food were great but service was kinda slow. Our food came 20 mins after we placed the order. We order appetizer but it came last, it came when we almost done with our entrée. Food are delicious
Truly delicious food with a lot of dishes you don't usually see in Vietnamese restaurants in the US. Unfortunately the service is extremely slow (small place, few staff, etc) so be prepared for a long stay, from the wait to the food to the check. Friendly, though, and there's a dedicated parking lot.
