The quality of food is inconsistent. I've been eating there for 5 or so years. There was a point when I stopped because the food was not being prepared properly and its not cheap.
My husband and I came here for lunch last week. Their food was amazing. And they have great customer service!
I have, sadly eaten my last order of spicy teriyaki chicken from Kami teriyaki. Two years ago I started eating their teriyaki and it was the best I'd ever had. I'm a 30 year veteran chef and teriyaki is something I actively pursue. As time has progressed, the product has changed and is not what it once was. The last time I ordered the spicy chicken it was so spicy that I couldn't finish it. I ordered extra sauce as the product has changed so much that I now have to order it that way to get what I used to get. I called them and left a message to speak with management, just to politely ask as an industry colleague, what has happened. Haven't heard back. Then three days later, emailed them to ask if perhaps they could get back to me. I would refuse a freebie, as I understand that inconsistency is sometimes an issue with new help. That was three days ago. Why even have a "contact us" page?! Too bad. They were once my favorite. One thing I can't abide as someone who ate there 20 to 30 times a year is disrespect. So bummed.
Amazing Food! Staff are very kind and treated me and my family lovely! Definitely recommend for anyone in the taste for delicious teriyaki food!
Stopped by on my way home tonight. Food was decent, but it wasn't what I ordered. Ordered Katsu and Goyoza. Get home with my food and open it up to find that I was given A teriyaki bowl and egg rolls. This wasn't a call in order either. I was a walk-in and stood in the lobby the entire time. The guy at the counter walked my bag over to me when it was ready. I was the only take out order standing there. That kind of thing shouldn't be happening, it was an easy order, and it wasn't that busy. Food is good, service is fine, just double check your bag before you leave!
I've come Kami for several years. Everything I've tried is delicious. Today I went with beef teriyaki and it didn't disappoint. Great stop if you're in the east Renton highlands.
My first time here. Salad was plain with no dressing. Chicken spicy was what I was expected. The 2nd order was totally wrong and I think the girl misunderstood. I wanted tofu yakisoba and pay extra for chicken to be added to the yakisoba. She gave me a yakisoba and teriyaki chicken combo plate. Which is the not the same.

Long-time neighborhood teriyaki place. Those who eat here love it. For me, there are much better more authentic places out there! The prices are too high for the quantity and quality of food.
