Our first time here and won't be the last. Gone in during our evening lunch/dinner service was great, food was good. Be warned ⚠️ this place is small so expect waiting for a good 15-20min. Or more depending on how busy they get. If you can't wait I suggest call your order in for pick up. We didn't order ahead we didn't know it was that busy.. literally line was forming outside the door.Overall it was a good experience and the weather was perfect ☀️ to sit outside they had plenty of seatings outside.I ordered #30 beef Flautas nice and crispyHubby ordered #1 (4) beef tacos
Tried this restaurant for the first time last night and I REALLY wanted to like this place. I ordered my favorite - Arroz Con Pollo. After seeing a lot of great reviews about this place I was excited. And very very disappointed :( the place itself was very very small and didn't look or appear very appealing.Maybe it was just an off night of something but my dish had under cooked hard rice and it was lacking the delicious sauce...I loaded it up with the spicy red sause and it made it a little bit better but still I was not very impressed...my husbands Carne Asada was good but meat was on the colder side. I might give this place another chance in the future. The red hot sause was delicious.
The food and service is good! Can get crowded inside, but that's cause it's tasty food!
This place is very delicious. They have a decently priced menu as well. I have been to some taco trucks that charge more money for the food and it was not as good as this place. I ordered two number 1s with 4 tacos. It comes with veggies, and jalapeno. They have red salsa and green salsa. They also sell horchata separately from the meal. Meals do not include drinks.
First and last time eating here! I ordered a California burrito and asked that they not put any onion or cilantro in it. I have allergies and food sensitivities. So I get home and start eating my burrito. It tastes okay until I'm halfway down and realize that the bottom half is filled with onion and cilantro...LOTS. It's as if this was done maliciously. Sure enough I started having an allergic reaction to it. It's been 3 days and I'm still suffering. A customer shouldn't have to tell a restaurant that they request that certain ingredients be removed because of allergies. If it was a problem they should have said something. I know its a Mexican restaurant and onions and cilantro is a main ingredient, but I asked (nicely) if I could have it without. She acted like she didn't understand me so I repeated again nicely and smiled. I was looking forward to eating from their establishment. But, putting the ingredients in despite that request (I repeated it and made sure she knew I didn't want them) is not only horrible customer service, but it's quite possibly litigious. So NO, I do not recommend this restaurant. I actually recommend driving to El Reconcito where Ive been eating for 3 years and the food is fresh, made to order and delicious!!
We decided to try this place based on reviews. As a Southern CA native the one thing I miss the most is the excellent Mexican food. This place reminded me of home. So far the closest I've had to truly delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. We tried the Carne asada plate, Carne asada burrito and some nachos with Pollo (was craving nachos, and I know it's very americanized). Food was a little heavier on the salt than I prefer, but very tasty. Can't wait to come back and try their other offerings.
Great food ? good flavor and well seasoned. We devoured the food so fast and forgot to take a picture. We'll be back for more.
I love this place. I stop by here on my work lunch frequently. Quality for low price.
The father of my grandchildren was born and raised in the Mexican state of Puebla. Being Cajun-Irish this makes me uniquely unqualified to judge.The food here is better than any I've eaten from Shoreline to Tumwater (Mex or otherwise.) Some others come in a close second.
Love this place, it's my go to for delicious and affordable food. Highly recommend the Tortas!
