So I stumbled across this cafe because I was getting my car done at Les Schwab, and I tell you I've been back ever since food is priced well and the portions are freaking awesome. The jam is absolutely delicious (even tho I only usually like grape) the cook is awesome she definitely understand the assignment every time flawless and the host/waitress has the best personality always cheerful and giggly and pays attention to customers. Just a great place wonderful environment.

I was there just after opening and only 1 server was working. She was friendly and capable but no one person could give prompt attention to that many people. The food was good with large portions but nothing outstanding. I wondered if owners were being cheap by having the light staff or if it was unusual. By the time I was leaving, the place was packed so it seems to be popular.

Went there a Monday morning memorial day. My family of 5 arrived there at 9:15. There was only one waitress the restaurant was not full yet she didn't acknowledge for at least 10 mins. I had to ask for a cup coffee twice. Tell me why 5 tables were served when we got there way before them? There was this one table with 7 people served way before us. We waited 1 hour before we got our food. I feel they served their race before us because everyone of their race was being served before us. It's not ok at all. We will not be returning or ordering from there anymore

This place has so much potential, if the owner read the reviews they could make some changes to make this a 5 star place. The food was good with big portions and the hash browns had a nice crisp on top. We ordered the chicken fried steaks and 2 kids happy pancakes. The country fried steaks and gravy had good flavor without being heavy. We had to wait 45 minutes to get our food. It was busy so we were trying to be patient but noticed that tables seated after us were getting their food before we did. Our food was cold when it got to us. We got our food before the kids got theirs too which was really annoying, it's kind of an unspoken rule that children get served first at a restaurant. Our server was very nice, personable, and friendly - it appeared that she was trying to keep up the best she could but the disorganization of the restaurant as a whole was working against her. The restaurant is dirty...the floors were unswept and had food everywhere. There are food and cleaning supplies stacked up in random places. The bathroom had fake flower decor that was covered in dust - if they can't keep up with cleaning it's better to remove clutter, especially in the bathroom! Even my daughter noticed that they still had Easter decor up on the wall that needed to come down haha. I know they are working in a small space and storage is at a premium but they should really have a professional come in and give them tips on how to get areas visible to the public more organized and clean. The music was on the loud side but it was a good mix of genres and I personally enjoyed it but I could see how it would not be everyone's cup of tea.

This rating is specifically for one single waitress. I went in to order at the counter as I wanted take out. I've done this many times in the last couple of months without issue. She walked past no less than 5 times without any acknowledgment didn't even look my way. After about 4 minutes she rudely asked if I was there for pick up. Told her no I need to order and she walked away, came back and seemed irritated that I needed a menu. Gave me the menu walked away and about 15 minutes later I walked out because she didn't come back to get my order. She's the only Caucasian waitress there. Everybody else has been great. Good is also great, just that one server.

The location was pretty easy to find. There were quite a few people in the restaurant at 8:30 am on a Saturday. There was only one waitress at the time who was taking care of the tables and she seemed to be very personable to each table which was nice. Several other waitress showed up a little later. The food was ok. Had the country fried steak with a biscuit and a cup of coffee. Nothing special or amazing about the food. Eggs cooked the way I wanted. Hash browns were crisp.

Countryside Cafe is a great place to go for your classic “diner”esque breakfast. It can get crowded and the wait is often long. The food is always good and you always leave stuffed. Their red velvet waffle is probably my favorite.

This restaurant was a let down. We used to go the Burien location and it was always fantastic .In fact, the Burien location we would wait for an hour just to get a table. I should have known something was different when we got a table right away at the Renton location . The Renton location is lacking the large portions, hot fresh food and the welcoming, family environment. I had the french dip. The sandwich had two very thin and very over cooked slices of roast beef. I expressed my disappointment to our server , she was great at understanding (after seeing what I was served) offered to get me something else. I tried the cheese burger, it was ok. The food was nothing compared to the old Burien location.

This is such a cozy place that has delicious food! Loved the servers and loved the small town vibe. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a small cafe/diner.

Countryside Cafe Renton nailed it.Excellent service. Hot coffee and some delicious eats. The hash brown has that nice outer crunch. The omelet was loaded with bacon and topped with fresh ingredients. Great place for a late breakfast.
