First time dining in at Redmond town center Original Pancake House since Covid. We used to go for Dutch baby. This time it wasn’t as good as before… but overall everything is still good. Give it a try next time you are nearby
I took my lovely girlfriend to this location for her birthday, I have never been before and she had been here once before. I ordered my chocolate chip pancakes with scrambled eggs and she got her waffles with two pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs. Let me just say the amount if chocolate chips on and in my pancakes was amazing, it felt like they poured in the entire bag of chips and served it. Every bite and every centimeter of my plate was covered in those chips and it was so rich and amazing I wanted more. The eggs are your normal eggs and not too much to bring home about. The waffles my girlfriend had were also amazing. She had fresh cut strawberries and two of the most thick and declious bacon I have ever had in my life. I mean they crispy, juicy, and little chewy bacon that was to die for. I want a plate of that stuff next I go here because this is a place you need, want, and have to come back to. The bacon alone is worth the trip and the staff are all friendly and the wait time is something not a lot of people are fans of, but just think of the bacon.
We stopped in for a quick breakfast, and we got seated quicker than expected. At the time of our arrival they had a small staffing issue, but it didn't matter to us, as we were not in a hurry. Our server Walter took good care of us despite how busy he was, and for a short time being the only one there serving the guests (we later saw others show up). The buttermilk pancakes are awesome! My wife got the Vegetarian Omelette, of which she let me try, and that was also awesome! Thank you for the good dining experience, we will be back!
Had breakfast on a Saturday. We put ourselves on the wait-list while we were on our way. Easy peasy.Service was prompt and friendly. The food was good and prepared properly. When we arrived at 9:30 there wasn't a wait but by the time we left there was a bit of a line.Covid protocols were followed. We had to show vaccine status before being seated. One thing I would suggest to the business is to install a heat curtain at the door. It's an automatic door and when someone is standing there the cold air blows right in. We were seated not too far from the door and at times it was really cold at our table.
Poor service. We sat down and waited 20 minutes without ever being served. Decided to leave and go to the crepe place next door as we knew service there would be better. It would take a lot to bring me back. Not likely to ever go again. This was our first time at this restaurant as well. Very poor first impression.
This was my very first time at The Original Pancake House and the experience left me not very impressed. First off I did not realize that this place closed at 3pm and I arrived at around 2:25 which is why I felt that I received the service I did which is still no excuse for bad service. It took them 10 minutes to put our order in which case normally wouldn’t be a big deal but given that that just ate up 1/3 of the time we had left with literally 2 mins to eat when we did get our food was terrible. The food arrived with the check which was poor taste in my mind. They had no other condiments other than ketchup and the amount of ketchup they gave me compared to the amount of potatoes they gave me was a joke!! The only reason I gave them 3 stars was that I recognize that this bad experience was not entirely their fault and that the few bites I had tasted good. Bottom line terrible service and high prices.
This is on the second floor, entrance is inward facing, and best accessed if you park in the garage. Love that they have GF pancakes - and the menu is clearly marked for what can be made sans gluten. However they do not cook things separately- so if you have severe reaction, to be safe skip this place. Real Maple Syrup: Nice to have option to order real maple syrup for a extra $3.50 (looks to be 2oz). Pricey as it’s about the same cost as a 8oz small latte.
Pancakes here are very tasty!!! Try their Dutch baby, though it is too much for one person, it’s very yummy. Good customer service and make sure to have a copy of vaccine card.
Love this place on a weekend morning, eggs Benedict are simply delicious with hash brown, also the plain waffle with Canadian bacon and scramble egg is satisfying, and their coffee is well balanced. Friendly staff and courteous service, but do expect a waiting time of 15 min at least, the wait is worth it.
I loved this place and the service they provided at first they said it would be an waiting for an hour but sooner only they gave us the table and the portion was good and my waitress was quick and courteous Eliza.
