Update: Went again next day and had a veggie special thali. It had A paneer with Sweet gravy, Dal makhani, and green pea curry along with other stuff same as non-veg thali (Samosa, Gulab Jamun, Naan and Rice). Also found out menu changes daily so thats a plus for daily meals.I got a lunch thali offer for 10% off. I went around 12:30 pm and it was crowded. As i was solo I was offered seat at the bar table. It was comfortable and worked for me. The non-veg thali is 20 usd + taxes. It came with Samosa, 2 Non-veg Curries, daal, naan, rice and a dessert (gulab jamun). The food was tasty and curries were different.
I feel very thirsty after eating their food..makes me wonder if they add MSG?
Service - terrible. The waiter was rude.Gobi Manchurian, paneer starter, curries, biryani - tasted bestKashmiri pulao- tasted bad. Never order it.
Came with lots of hope as this is very highly rated but seems like its overrated . They don’t serve water first thing unlike many other restaurants . Food tasted average, staff was courteous, ambience was above average. Situated in middle of redmond “downtown” , its a decent place with outdoor seating and separate entries for takeout and dine in. But i might not be visiting again .
Decent Indian food in Seattle! Prices are reasonable. We went for spice level 4 and was more spicy than we were anticipating. They also serve rice with the curries. Tea was too sweet, should probably consider serving without sugar tea. We ordered naaan and forgot to mention no butter, since it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu, they were kind enough to take it back and replace it no butter naan. One extra star for replacing the naan.
Ordered here for pickup after a nearby show as part of my dad's birthday weekend. I ordered the Methi Gosht with goat because he likes goat but doesn't eat it often. Picking up was a bit frantic because the parking was packed and when you go in no one talks to you, you just go look for your name and grab your bag of food. Eagerly driving 20 miles back to the house, it was only then that we realized the dish was NOT green and it was NOT goat. We paid extra just to get chicken!! It's not so much the mistake and it's too bad it's up to customers to have to be the ones that double-check their orders. You want to able to just trust the restaurant. Also, my order finished 40min in advanced of my requested pick up time...so they had time to ensure a correct order. I wouldn't go back here as the place gets enough business, and I'd rather support a place that pays keen attention. It's always moreso about the service you experience than any mistake. The food itself was unremarkable. This is my first low star review...
The goat biryani is a must try at this place. The chicken 65 and chicken sim biryani are decent but not the best. We ordered the meat platter to get a taste of all the different styles of meat available but it was okayish.. they were too dry and not fresh.
I'm extremely picky about restaurants and rarely give a five star review. That being said this is without reservation one of the best restaurants I've eaten at recently. It's one of those places that feels authentically exotic and maintains a joyful atmosphere, even during pandemic times. They have ample staffing and everyone we encountered was friendly. The restaurant is somewhat small but still manages to accommodate both large and small parties.I ordered the lamb biryani for dinner and it came out sizzling on a decorative hot plate. There were ample portions and the food was just a spectacular.
It's not bad. The food is nothing that you won't get else where. The panner appetizer we ordered had some strong smell to it and bright red in color. Mostly artificial I feel. Curries are decent but again nothing special. Was excited was Shahid tukda but was a total bummer. Have good parking space available. Restaurant location is good.
We've eaten here several times and it's always excellent. We've had several things, but my favorite so far has been the lamb saag. Also, the nan is especially good while it's fresh.
