Honestly at a loss for words. How can you mess up dumplings and noodles? Let me tell you. When we arrived we got sat between two different parties. One four top and one 2 top. We had placed our order about 10 min before them. They proceeded to get all of their food at once while we got 1-2 dishes every 20 min. While everyone finished their meal our server came by and joked that we ate everything fast. We let them know we had been waiting a really long time for our dishes still. She awkwardly laughed and said it should be out in 10 min.. fast forward 10 min we get one noodle dish when we had ordered 3 with one of them being vegetarian. No explanation just one single bowl of noodles on the table. 10 min later another then finally at the very end of our meal the final bowl of noodles. All we could do was laugh. The noodles tasted like if someone sauteed them in menthol cough drops.F.Nothing remarkable or even worth the money. Would not recommend or go back.
Wonderful dumpling ? spot, reminds me a lot of some of the soup dumpling 汤包 spots in Beijing. Spent about $25 per person, that's with each person getting one bowl of Dan Dan mian, and five types of dumplings for table to split. My favorites are anything white chicken or shrimp. Definitely tried some of their "featured" bao. Every bite is flavorful, well seasoned, and perfect texture. Most of the sides come in 4's or 6's (it'll tell you on the menu) so easy to split at our table and try a little of everything. They have paper menus to write down the quantity of food items you want. Great staff, polite, and attentive to drink refills. No wait for lunch. Will definitely be coming back.
Are you thinking about it? Do you wonder if it’s worth a meal here? Girl, yes. At least once! Although I’m not a regular here, I want to be. Place is cozy and small with gimmicky decor. I like it, Picasso. My meals here usually always at least consist of the sour and sweet cucumber (makes ur mouth water, but cut very inefficiently pretty), (always 2 orders of) pork soup dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, and the pan fried baos. Every now and then, I order the pig ears, but this dish’s portions are ridiculously massive for two people so I only order it in bigger groups. Recently, I tried their passion fruit green tea and it was DELICIOUS. It’s relatively pricey since my typical order runs me about 60ish dollars for two, so it’s my every now and then go to restaurant. The one thing is that the Dan Dan noodles, although absolutely gobsmacking, is in my opinion an alright dish compared to other restaurants. In the process of eating it? Good, great, fantastic even. The Szechuan peppercorn after tingle? Alright. The weird chemical taste of spice? Tolerably ok. This shouldn’t stop you from ordering the Dan Dan noodles though, it’s an experience.
Very good, fast friendly and great food
This is one of our regular favorite spots. Tasty food and great value! Tons of delicious vegan options. Yi Bin noodles and the steamed veggie dumplings are our regular order. The tahini sauce with veggies was great too.
Favorite dumpling house, any of their locations are a must! Ordered the green onion pancakes, dan dan noodle, any of their dumplings (steamed or pan fried) teas are wonderful. You can’t go wrong with ordering anything on the menu.
I wanted to give them 2 when I got my cucumber salad and A-Choy. I compared with Din thai fung and definitely their cucumber salad is much better. The dumplings and Wonton and xia long bao was so good. no complain!Overall for this price point I am satisfiedNoodle was 3/5Bewf sandwich was 2/5Appetizers were bad but dumplings awesome for this priceService was good they are fast. Not busy on SundayAll food in the picture was 52$
food 3/5 Service 0/5Food is fine but sever's training definitely has room for improvement. Server spilled a glass of water all over my lap without apologizing. He said "Can you guys move to another table so I can clean up?". So my party grabbed all the food and utensils from our table to the other table by ourselves. The experience really left a sour taste in my mouth.
We went to Dough Zone for the first time this week. We had a couple orders each of the green onion pancakes and the chive dumplings. The so-called pancakes were almost as flat as printing paper, and the little flakes of green onions were completely tasteless. We have had authentic green onion pancakes in the past, but these were nothing like what we had had before. The Chive dumplings did appear to have chives inside, but the taste was strange. Both the pancakes and the dumplings were very greasy. Upon completion of our meal, we both felt sick to our stomachs.
Really enjoyed the pork buns! XLB and dan dan noodles were ok. Potstickers and green onion pancake were less good
