Food was well prepared and very flavorful. Few vegetarian choices and the service was spotty. We waited almost 30 minutes for our bill, felt a bit ignored by the staff even though they were going to the tables around us.
The restaurant is hidden around the corner up in the Redmond center. Not easy to find for a first time customer. Nice decoration. Service was good but felt rushed during ordering. The sauerkraut fish, braised pig feet and pork intestine stew were excellent. Quite tasty. You can ask the restaurant to hold the dried peppers.
Really bad service, food was mediocre at best. Also super pricey for what it was. Better places to eat within 10 15 min away. More than likely will not return
Ordered from doordash. Speechless. These shrimps are definitely not fresh. Dark head and body. Its meat is so soft that it tastes like baby porridge. Waste of money. This restaurant is recommended by an acquaintance, so disappointed.
It’s an awesome place. Loved the short rib stew and boiled fish. Staffs are very friendly. Definitely will be back again.
I mean seriously how can you be so bad on making food. I never ever taste the food this bad in my whole life. Been to so many places and eat in different different restaurants but this food is worse. I ask for refund but they refused to give me refund as well. My food literally tasted like soap/detergent. I asked several times when ordering fried rice. is the shrimp baby shrimp. is it small shrimp and they said yes yes. Later on its the big shrimp and they cut it in small piece. Are you serious? dont waste money here
This was specifically about the 年夜饭 takeout on Chinese New Year Eve.They clearly took more orders than they can handle. Our food was late for 50 min. And 10 more people were still waiting when we leave.The food portion is half than usual. I highly suspect they split the food to meet all orders. There is little 猪肚 or 鸡 in 猪肚鸡. There is little 腊肉 in 花椰菜腊肉 which are all fatty. The 过江鱼's portion is good though, because a whole fish is a whole fish and even they can't fake that.I won't come back for a year. Hope they learn their lesson and still stay in the business.
We ordered a delivery from Weee. Mao's braised pork wasn't cooked enough. It was very hard to chew. The spices weren't able to cover the meaty smelly. It looks like the cook just put together the meat and spices all together but didn't give enough time to make all the ingredients work together. The dish of plum and vegetable button meat was not good either. We like the beef stir-fried noodles the best. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Poor dine-in experience:- Paper plates and cups were used.- Server did not provide chopsticks until asked.- Server did not provide napkins until asked.- We were asked to sit at an awkward corner table despite regular tables being available.- Flavor-wise, it was just average. Nothing was particularly Hunan.The server was partly overwhelmed and partly bad at her job. The owner clearly no longer cares about dine in customers — the restaurant has been converted to a cloud kitchen focused on serving online orders.Enter at your own risk. We certainly won’t be returning.
I used to go to the Edmond one and love food there. Due to COVID, they changed all utensils to paper, plastic ones, including the ones for holding dishes. I would prefer take outs honestly.Taste is ok but not surprisingly good as before somehow. Could be biased.
